We have been through this area many times and have always wanted to try this restaurant as we love good Mexican food. What a waste of time and money that turned out to be. The Strawberry Daiquiri had more whipped cream in it and on top of it then strawberries and rum. It didn't even taste like virgin daiquiri. We had the beef/chicken nachos, and fresh guacamole. Our other meal was a plain hamburger that came with french fries and a house salad with ranch dressing. The hamburger and fries were okay but the ranch dressing was runny and acidic in taste. HORRIBLE. The nachos were so soggy on the bottom that we couldn't even eat them. The cheese dip that went on it with the beans and meat was so runny you couldn't even taste the cheese. The hamburger had NO flavor at all and the chicken was stringy and hard to chew. The guacamole had so much cilantro and lime in it that you couldn't even taste the avocado and we found small pieces of green pepper cut up in it. Our server took our order, delivered our drink and then we only saw him in passing when he dropped off food at other tables. When he brought our check he had to have noticed that we hadn't eaten but never said anything to us just took off again. I understand that the restaurant business is bustling certain times of the day/night but a little more attentiveness would have been appreciated. He didn't return to take our payment so we paid at the hostess stand on our way out the door. When she asked how dinner was, we told her the same as I have here. She said 'oh' and walked off. I had to give a star in order to do a review but the only thing I liked about this restaurant was the atmosphere inside. I will NOT return nor will I recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in to grab to-go margaritas. Guy at the front was super kind and directed us to two girls at the front desk to take our to-go order. We stood at the front desk with this girl with blue and purple hair standing there not saying a word to us for 10 minutes. We finally had enough and saw the kind waiter walk up to the front desk and asked who would be helping us. He then asked the blue and purple haired girl that was at the front desk if she took our order and she very rudely said no to the kind waiter because she couldnāt take alcohol orders. What is so frustrating is that if this blue and purple haired girl knew that she couldnāt take orders with alcohol(she clearly heard us say that we were wanting to-go margaritas when we arrived)then she would have alerted another waiter/waitress to take our order. I have never written a review before but this girl was absolutely rude and had zero customer service skills. This girl DOES NOT need to be in the service industry and needs a reality check and needs to be fired. We stood there for 10 minutes waiting on this girl to help us and she completely ignored us. We have NEVER experience such poor customer service before. Again, this girl needs a reality check and does not need to work in the service industry. I wish I would have gotten the name of the waiter who took care of us because he was kind, courteous, fast, and deserved a huge tip. The blue and purple haired girl is the complete opposite and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas hopeful but that was quickly squashed when we sat at the bar and had to ask to be waited on. Was immediately served chips and salsa. Salsa was excellent. Blue haired waitress (I have no problem with fun hair color. She didnāt give her name so this is the only way to distinguish her.) when my husband asked if his burrito came with rice and beans, said āI donāt know,ā. So, we figured weād roll with it and see what happens. 15 minutes after our order was put in, blue hair comes out and says āwe got no more chilies rellenosā. I asked for the menu and picked out something else. Immediately, my husbandās dinner came out. By the way, it does not come with rice and beans. The meat was watery and looked very unappealing. He said heād not order it again. When he was done, mine came out. It was OK. Oh, it came with rice but you would never know by the menu. Anyway, poor customer attention. In fact, as I write this, Iām sitting at the bar waiting for someone to take our card. Blue hair is staring off in space. Iām watching children run around in their kitchen. No joke. I wanted this place to be great but it was an epic fail. A couple lessons for restaurant owners: 1. If you have a bar, have a bar tender who knows the menu and can engage with clientele. 2. Make sure all employees know the menu and what comes with it. 3. If you are out of something, donāt start the ticket before youāve shared with the customer and they choose something else....
