Cafe on Main & Sweet Shop — Restaurant in Columbus

Not coming back. Service was very poor and the few items on their menu weren’t good. The main issue was the service. The waitress seemed like she had no interest in being there. It’s a kind of place that you circle what you want on the printed paper menu and hand it in instead of interacting with your server. Totally fine if it worked, but it didn’t. All of the confusion could have been handled up front if she had picked up on the first sign of us being brand new to the restaurant and explained their system. She did not, rather she elected to run back and forth in the store handling only one request or question at a time. Wasting time and her own sanity to where she was rolling her eyes at our requests. I use to serve and I know customers can be frustrating, especially when they are new to the restaurant, but there was no need for any of this...

Had such high hopes for this place, terribly let down. The place is not that big and they had plenty of waitresses but it took so long to get service. We finally were able to get the waitresses attention and have her explain the menu to us. The food was not bad, generous proportions. Trying to pay was yet another long wait and then when we finally get to the register the man taking payments answers the phone and walks away, no "hello, I'll be right with you" nothing at all. It seems they cared more about the locals in there then anything else, which I get, I'm from a small town but keep in mind they aren't the only ones in there paying money. We got the recommendation to go from someone in town and although the food was good the lack of service and just plain common...

We have patronized this cafe before with no problems. However, (two of us) waited over an hour for our food while everyone around us, who had arrived long after us, was served their food. We continued to ask about our food & was told they would check on it. We finally gave up waiting & left. I told the waitress on the way out that we were leaving because we had waited over an hr while others around us received their food. She replied "arrogantly", "Well, everyone else has been waiting an hour." We knew that NOT to be true. It wasn't just the wait...it was the attitude of the waitress. We're...
