The experience is fun but the service and quality of food leaves something to be desired. The guy taking out order was very honest and told us all the food was frozen. You kind of want that old fashioned burger joint food when you see this place and this ain’t it. We had burgers and tots which weren’t bad but, you could easily recognize that frozen patty shape. The onion rings were also a frozen product as warned. The BBQ baked potato was so sad. It looked good and yet was disappointing. The potato was topped with cheese and a steaming hot pile of sugary microwaveable bbq beef. On top of that you had to pay for sour cream. Not extra sour cream, if you wanted any sour cream it was .70 per packet. Never have I been charged anywhere for sour cream on a baked potato. Honestly I’m shocked they didn’t charge me for utensils. Good fountain drinks and tea! Used to be a fun spot to stop but I’ll drive on from now on.

I used to visit this place regularly when my grandparents had a weekend place in Columbus back in the early 1980s. I stopped by the other day for my first time in over 40 years, this time with my city girl wife and kids. Place honestly hasn't changed much at all and that is what I like about it. Staff are nice, they take their time to take your order and make it right (regardless of how many people are waiting). Burger was great, milk shake and malts where great, onion rings were great. Prices were a little on the high side but that is no different than anywhere these days and I don't mind paying when the product is as good as it was here. The whole family enjoyed their meal, and I have a bunch that is usually all hard to please. Somethings are better left they way they are, thanks Dairy Cone for never changing!

Well, well well...this place has been hiding in plain sight for decades. I live in La Grange which is about 30 miles north of Columbus and never has anyone once mentioned this delightful home grown hamburger drive in! They have a large number of menu items and we will return again and again. On this first visit we order a hamburger, a cheeseburger, tots, onion rings and large drinks. It cost a little over $20 but worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Be aware there is no indoor seating, but they have outdoor tables or you can eat in your car. You need to place your order at the walk-up window or pickup from the car pickup window.

Went there today for lunch. They seemed backed up and concentrating on the drive in only. I waited at the window for 15-20 minutes. No one contacted me if only to say it will be a minute or two. I finally got tired of the wait and no customer service. And got in my truck and left. Sad….i really like this place when I come thru town and make an effort to stop here. I did notice after I left they waited on the guy behind me. I was hungry and not a lot of choices. Went to Whataburger and got my order within 5 minutes. I rather not eat at a chain restaurant and try to patronize the local businesses. Told the drive-thru guy at whataburger about my non service at Dairy Cone and he said he went there the other day and HIS wait was 10 minutes before anybody took his order. Dairy Cone will be out of business with...
