Decided to try Gatto’s. There were a few patrons there when we arrived. We sat at the counter, but there were plenty of tables. The one thing you will notice from pics—they have no beer glasses! So my husband drank from a plastic tumbler. But I had wine, and they had wine glasses. The girl at the counter was the server and the cashier, and she was too young to serve alcohol, so she had to call one of the cooks from the back to get us drinks.
After sitting there for a while, we couldn’t help but notice the amount of carry out and delivery orders they do—there was always someone in line waiting for an order.
I ordered a veggie sub and my husband ordered a pepperoni pizza—pepperoni under the cheese. It was a traditional Columbus-style pizza, and he liked it a lot! My sun was loaded with veg and was served on a sub roll from Audino’s Italian Bakery—very good. It was a light bread with a crunchy crust—nice accompaniment to my veggies. Would have loved to order a salad, but they only came in pint and quart deli containers—meant for to go orders. I could had spilled it onto a paper plate, but didn’t want that.
I would like to go back to try wings, spaghetti, lasagna. But will probably get it to go, because I’d prefer not to eat on...
Read moreI'm in Ohio working for 3 months and I accidentally stumbled on to this place. I have already ordered from here too many times to remember and I can honestly say in the short time being in Ohio I think I'm starting to get stretch marks, in a good way lol. I originally strarted off ordering the Italian sub, then the spaghetti and meatballs, then gradually moved on to the pizzas and eveything was outstanding. I'm 49 yrs old and I've never eaten a tomato, literally ever. So far I've eaten 12 tomato slices and all were in the Italian sub. I would usually gag from the texture of tomatoes but the ones they use are fresh and have a good texture to them, although that sounds odd this is honestly the biggest compliment I personally could give this place lol. The staff is super cool and I have a very odd name so anytime the staff makes a genuine attempt to pronounce my name and offer good service I am very appreciative. The food is always done in a good timely manner and I absolutely will continue to eat here until I head back home to Las Vegas. I would absolutely recommend Gatto's to anyone looking for very good food and and nice little cozy spot to...
Read moreI phoned Gatto's and placed an order for pickup. I showed up at the High St. location to pick up my order. Come to find out Gatto's had moved.
I phoned Gatto's to find out where they had moved to... Only to be deposited into a voicemail box that "has not been set up yet"! I called back and the girl who answered the phone told me that Gatto's is where the Wildflower Cafe used to be (I've never heard of the Wildflower and have no clue where it used to be). She then tells me Gatto's is now located at the intersection of Indianola Ave & N High St... I pointed out to her that couldn't be because those two streets do not intersect! I then asked her for just the street address... She didn't know! At this point I was so frustrated that I cancelled the order and hung up.
I have been a regular of Gatto's since the early 1980's. Obviously, not so much this past year since I didn't realize they moved. Gatto's used to be very good... not so much since the Gattos folks sold the business and retired. I don't know who has been running the business since, but I'm most definitely not impressed.
I highly doubt...
