Have had many happy experiences there eating by myself and with big parties I have brought in I have spent thousands of dollars at this restaurant which is fine it's usually been great service and decent food. I went today at 1:20 p.m. nobody was there to greet me or seat me which is understandable busy time is evening but I sat at a table forever and no one came after standing and waiting for a long timewhen no one came either. There were only two other customers in the restaurant one of them waved down a worker and told him I needed to be served. The guy brought over a menu and silverware put them on the table did not even smile at me didn't bring chips I mentioned to him I know what I want already he just looked at me and walked away. I called and asked why I wasn't served I was told there is only one waiter in the mornings which is confusing to me because it was 120 in the afternoon. It seems that there is a waiter and only two customers it should not be hard to get attention. Please understand I can be as relaxed and take my time as much as the next guy but it was my lunch break and after waiting 20 minutes I could not wait any longer. No one even ever came out and acknowledged me after the guy who looked at me and walked away no one brought chips or something to drink or anything nobody even said hello. The only friendly person was the person sitting on the bench the fun statue. Life Will go on but I was very disappointed and there are many other choices for dining I'm afraid I won't be back for a while until they learn how to treat people a little bit better and with respect even when it is not the peak time of day. I heard laughter in the back and people talking but somehow no one had time to coming just place my simple order for shrimp tacos with rice. I could understand if there was limited staff and someone had to unload a delivery or something but this wasn't the case people were just standing around talking and laughing. I did take it personally in the next family friends and work gatherings I recommend to others will probably be somewhere else. It's too bad because when you have staff there who cares about their customers it can be a nice time a nice atmosphere with...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place has really gone downhill in the twelve years I've lived nearby. Most of the good reviews are from patrons that also enjoying the cheap margaritas, take that into consideration as their perspective might be impacted. Our chips were overcooked and the cooking oil was old. Shrimp and other meat was also overcooked and some meat had excessive taco seasoning as if the seasoning container lid fell off onto the product, it was inedible. The refried beans were so meh that I thought they were worst than the canned beans I have in my pantry.
RESPONSE TO THE REPLY FROM TRES: I tried calling but was placed on hold and the manager ran to the store. My advise in summary is to hire a manager that won't allow the food quality to suffer and isn't afraid to have to cooks recook food if it's NOT done properly. If burnt chips cooked with old oil are being sent out at a Mexican restaurant I'd start there... As It should be a sign for anyone who reads this review as to how the whole experience is going to go. Quit catering to just the dunks if you want solid consistent reviews. Ensure those chips are always perfect, hot and fresh, it sets the mood for the rest of the meal. Once that's figured out move on to what is considered the signature meals, ensure that are always top notch. Hire secret shoppers if you need to get an honest opinion or solicit honest feedback where you can find it as this needs to be continuously measured week after week. Retrain employees that aren't upholding standards, give them opportunities to grow and share with them how important the food quality is to the restaurant. If the same people continue to fail then find someone else to do it, even if it's family!
Ask yourself: how often is the manager running to the store at 7:30pm (dinner time) to purchase items that should have been checked and available earlier in the day? If the manager isn't there (as was the case when I called) should you be surprised that the positive customer feedback is...

I admit, I do get over excited the FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! IT SOME OF THE MEXICAN FOOD IN COLUMBUS!!!!
The food is delicious. I had the best chicken and hamburger burritos IN MY LIFE! They serve high quality local cuisine in a fun atmosphere for adults. They do make accommodations for families. There is a bar with some good drinks, so I have been told.
They make amazing quesadillas, enchilada, nachos, & tacos, they have THE BEST SAUCES that will blow your mind away if you are not big on vegetables! They occasionally have Spanish literate musical acts there as well as local bands there to play as well. You have to be careful there the food is spicy and be weary at what levels you & your groups will be at.
When I went there everyone was celebrating an anniversaries, a bacholette or bachelor party, just having a good time eating out, most people my age were getting engaged or even having a couple receptions there. It is a wonderful place!
They add a local, happy, party flare to the community and I heard the owner is bringing the place up to code as soon as he can. He is a great, sweet, generous person, and helps many charities & college students, as well as the sick & poor get a "break" in this town & state, which can be very hard. Very hard to do. The owner treats his employees very well, so I have heard.
I am not getting paid, I took it down to improve my review. I realize some people do not understand my reviews, but we do not need corporations giving us over processed food, lack of jobs, & disrespect by taking the 3 restaurants & local franchises I have...
