At 1pm, the place looked deserted, but don't let that put you off. The fact that there was only one other table occupied meant that the kitchen was dedicated to us.
This place is a restaurant on Wednesdays , Thursday's, and Fridays. It's an events venue on the other days of the week. It's a renovated brick warehouse and the interior is clean and modern.
We had a chef's salad, a blue cheese burger with waffle fries, and a slice peach cobbler cheese cake for desert.
The salad was fresh but nothing to write home about.
The pie unique and tasty.
The waffle fries were perfect (golden brown, crispy, and salty) and were served with ketchup for dipping.
The hamburger was one of the best I've ever had in my 60+ years of life... Fresh toasted sesame seed bun, crispy onion straws, and lots of blue cheese mixed into the hamburger meat. (You'd better like blue cheese if you order this one.) The crispy texture of the onion straws and inside surfaces of the bun, the savory meat/cheese patty, and almost too hot serving temperature combined to make for an exceptional burger. This must be what it's like to have a personal chef.
I can't wait to try some of their other...
Read moreThis is my review for dinner. I’ve been here twice now. I’ll start by saying this place has a LOT of potential. The chef knows what they are doing and this is one of two other restaurants in columbus that has molten lava cake (my favorite). However, the disappointing part is that now you cannot experience the same menu that others in the review section have had. For dinner (I was there at 3 so I guess anytime after 1 or 2) you have what I called a wedding reception menu to choose from. I posted a picture of it. Both times I got different reasons from the staff for the limited selection. but it’s very disappointing. I don’t think many people will return just to see the same 5 entrees again. Also the pricing is a bit much in my opinion. However What they do have is very flavorful. And I especially appreciate the large portion of spinach dip and fresh pita like chips. The drinks are also very very good. Just don’t expect a full menu. The seating is also limited so make reservations or call ahead if you are going during what may be...
Read moreI've been curious about this event space/restaurant since passing by it and hearing of it through the radio. My best friend and I went for lunch today. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and he ordered a stuffed cheese burger. Our appetizer was the deep fried reuben.
I've never had pastrami before and wanted something different. It wasn't only different but full of flavor, just over warm, and delicious. My chicken quesadilla was so very good. The ingredients were fresh. I loved the chunks of white chicken and the crispness of the tortilla. The cheese was melted just right. My best friends burger was charred, juicy and tasty. I don't know what kind of sauce was included but with the bite I had, it was memorable.
Whoever the chef was, thank you. There is nothing like good food. Our server was a sweetheart and I appreciated her refilling our glasses of arnold palmer without our asking. I also appreciate it when extra napkins are given without being requested. She did that too. I'll be back, with more...
