Liberty Theatre Cultural Center — Attraction in Columbus

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS REVIEW: I highly recommend NOT booking the Liberty Theater. The executive director Shae Anderson, doesn't show any professionalism in conducting business. When the wedding coordinator was setting up the reception, there was no working A/C . Shae Anderson was called several times and did not answer or return the phone calls. She was even sent a text message notifying her of the issue. Still no response. There was a kitchen there, but the lights didn't work. So everything done in the kitchen had to be done in the dark. Wedding guests couldn't stay long because it was too hot to enjoy the reception, 85 degrees hot! Mosquitoes love the heat, so it seems as if they made the Liberty Theater their home, there were lots of mosquitoes in the building. Shae Anderson, has a bad business reputation in the Columbus area, I wish there would have been more honest reviews on here for potential customers. Hope this review helps you NOT book...

Horrible experience with Shae Anderson!! She was rude and disrespectful. VERY impatient as far as communication and assured me that everything would be taken care of and accommodated on my wedding day. However, on the day of my wedding, my husband spent an hour at the venue BEFORE our wedding trying to fix the air conditioner. It was 85 degrees inside the building. Shae did not answer or respond to the several voicemails that were left. I had roughly 70 guest and the space was rented and paid for at the requested 10 hours. Because it was so hot, my guest were leaving the reception around 5:30 for a reception that had began only an hour and a half prior. They were very uncomfortable as they should've been. The director (Shae) is horrible. I heard she was bad business from numerous people but my friend had to schedule her wedding reception there at the last minute due to a mix up and double booking at her original venue. We had no air conditioning the entire time. She turned her phone off when we were trying to get in contact with her. She never sent anyone out. She is very unprofessional and rude. I have read numerous reviews also on Facebook about the air conditioning not working at their events too. Please book your event elsewhere. I would never recommend this...
