Be careful giving them your card!

I am beyond disappointed in this location. I have been coming here for 3 years since I moved to the area. I came in last night after work with a friend (two black women), ordered a couple drinks. The server asked for a card to start a tab, totally normal, and we sat there talking as people do at a bar. To my knowledge, as it is posted on the website, they close at 2:30am on Saturday. Around 2am a manager comes up to us and tells us to finish up our drinks and pay. That was odd considering we didn’t hear a last call and our server disappeared and never asked us for payment after dropping off the check. Also, the bar didn’t close for another 30 minutes, and we were trying to enjoy ourselves as we finished our last drink. I have never been rushed out of this specific bar in that way ever! And especially not half an hour before they close.

The next day (today) I noticed a charge on my card. I paid my tab in cash to the manager, so my card should not have been charged. I called the store to ask what was going on. He (Mitch) takes my information and calls back saying he hasn’t charged my card since March. He proceeds to ask if I am “sure I have the right location.” I respond with “yes.” I tell him I am looking at the charge on my card right now which is not even the same amount as my bill from last night. He calls me back again and says he found my friend and I’s receipts and my story is correct. He then tells me they “probably just charged my card for the wrong tab” and when that happens he’ll void it off and the charge should disappear. So his resolution was for me to call back IF the charge doesn’t come off and he’ll “see if he can get it sorted out.” I did not get an apology or even a sense of concern for the fact someone charged my card for a bill that was not mine. I can’t even comprehend how it happened considering a manger was involved in taking the payments, or maybe he only was involved in taking ours.

I won’t be back. I hope the charge falls off so I won’t have to deal with the people they have playing...
