China Star — Restaurant in Comanche

Hands down the worst buffet experience I've ever had. Ate here two weeks ago about 6 PM. There was almost nothing on the buffet, and I should have left at that point. The guy/owner said that he'd bring out more food. Over the next twenty minutes, only a couple of containers at the buffet were back to being full, and others had come in so people were jockeying for food. Any food I grabbed that wasn't new was cold. You could see the film on the soups and other foods had been there so long that they were stuck to the bottom of the pans. I waited over 20 minutes, and no more new food was served. The place wasn't cleaned. You could see the smeared food on the tables and the windows as you walked by. The coup de grace was being charged 15.00 for a meal I didn't eat, and being threatened by the woman at the register with calling the police when I complained about the price, and having my credit card thrown at me instead of handed back when I paid. I contacted Texas Health and Human Services to file a complaint. This place needs to be shut down before it...

I hate to say this, bc the lady was actually nice to me, but I got food poisoning a few hours after I ate there. I should’ve known to not eat there bc the AC was broken inside and it was hotter than the food. Went around lunch time and no one was there eating. Food had been left out from what appeared to be the day before and dried out. The fried shrimp was salad size shrimp and the sweet and sour chicken was cut into pieces the size of a dime. Fried rice was stuck to pan. I think they need new ownership(same couple but sell the place to a wealthy person) so they can get more money to expand their buffet and protect guests from food poisoning with adequate buffet time limits and temperature control. I read reviews and was timid on going. But i bit the bullet and went anyways. This place is absolutely acceptable. There are no bugs as claimed. As well as the food is not bad. At worst the selection is small. Sounds like false slander from competitors to knock a buisness out wrongfully. I went at 3. After lunch before dinner. The food was fine. Was it the best ive ever had? No. But it definantly was far from the worst. If you want the worst try out china woke in copperas cove. That is litterly the worst. Anyways to wrap it up.
