Kirsten is waiting on us. The chips are hot, not too bad, some are a tad over fried and they are rather greasy too. Salsa is mild. No house hot salsa at all. Their hot salsa is a bottle of Cholula. :( The Guacamole is expensive, $12, probably not made to order either. Kirsten confirmed the guacamole is not fresh and is premade, can not be made spicy at all. She suggested adding Cholula, again. I asked if they don't have jalapeño at all, she said yes. We ordered an overpriced small guacamole for $12 and a chicken fajita for two with corn tortillas for $32, also expensive! $46.59 This is likely one of the more expensive Mexican restaurants we have been to in a long while and it's not even a gourmet or fusion either. Prices are closer to NYC or LA prices. Crazy prices here for what you get. Then again their rent is likely sky high since it's a Jonna building. Their salsa ramekin is so small, we usually run out of chips before we run out of salsa at most Mexican restaurants. Let's see how the rest of the food goes, not impressed so far and can't see this place lasting at their prices for another year or so. It's not that busy here either, maybe 4-5 customers early this afternoon. No more chips or salsa refill, we had to ask for more salsa and then more chips too later. Our waitress isn't attentive at all. The premade guacamole didn't come out until our fajita was out, that's not a good order for food items out, especially given the guacamole is premade. Service is not first priority for sure here. Have to ask for things for stuff and attention. Don't recommend their corn tortillas? They don't heat them up, so they disintegrate and fall apart. The flour is the better option for the fajitas. The rice and beans are just filler, not so good. The pico looks to be premade as well and not so fresh. The guacamole wasn't bad, they kicked it up with Serrano peppers. The chicken fajita was decent. More peppers would have been nice, a lot of onions.

A Mixed Bag, But We'll Be Back! We stopped in for lunch recently, and while our experience had its ups and downs, we're hopeful this was just an off day. The atmosphere is great—inviting, stylish, and impeccably clean (including the restrooms, which were spotless!). It's clear the team takes pride in maintaining the space, which we really appreciated. The bartender, while not the warmest at first, seemed to lighten up as the meal went on. Initially, they appeared a put off when we asked for something, but by the end, there was a noticeable shift toward a friendlier demeanor. The lunch specials are an excellent value, which drew us in. We tried the Street Tacos and the Tostadas. While the tostadas were good, the tacos missed the mark. The tacos were supposed to come with fresh cilantro and spicy salsa verde. We ordered 1 steak and 1 chicken, but we received only chicken, and the tacos lacked the promised cilantro and salsa. The Spicy Señora drink also fell flat for us on the spice level. When I mentioned it, the bartender shared that most people find it quite spicy—maybe we just have bolder taste buds! Looking at other reviews, it seems like our experience might not be the norm, which gives us confidence to give this place another shot. Despite the hiccups, there's a lot of potential here, and we’re optimistic about what a second visit might hold.

I've eaten here a few times, and everytime I walk away desiring better than what I got The free chips are hot, but have no seasoning. However the salsa is decent (not award winning, but better than what I could make) The Chicken Rice Soup is the highlight. Every time I get it, it's on point. l just wish the rest of the food had that wow factor. The shredded chicken has a dry aftertaste on the tacos, and I'd like the option of corn or flour tortillas (instead of only flour) when it comes to the soft tacos. Service by far is what kills the experience. I can put up with a lot of average food if the service was good. When I sit up at the bar and have a soft drink, I shouldn't have to ask for silverware, ask for a refill after my drink's empty, ask for the bill when I want to leave. Where is the manager walking around checking on guests once per hour? I couldn't tell you where a manager was. In a competitive area for restaurants, these are the types of things that don't bring customer's back. Customers have enough going on between 9-5, having a nice lunch/dinner out should be the expectation, not something you hope for.

I am not one to complain about service, matter of fact this is my first time ever writing a negative review about a place. I have been here twice, the first time coming here was a very good experience, which brings me to why I am writing this review (The second visit). We came in and they were very busy which is understandable as to why service was not super fast perfectly understandable no issues at all there. We ordered drinks before 6 (The end of happy hour) and sat for about 15-20 mins before being addressed to order food, totally acceptable time frame they were busy no issues there. 3/4 people ordered the 3 street tacos and one person ordered a burrito. Time goes by she addressed our table 1 time asking if we wanted anymore drinks (after happy hour ended) in which me and a friend ordered another round of drinks understanding that the price would be outside of happy hour. Finally we received our food and 3/4 orders were completely wrong (we received the 3 tacos but were not the type of tacos that we requested and came with a side of beans and rice which I later found out was traditional when ordering the 3 tacos). SIDE NOTE: We were under the impression that on Tuesdays you can order the 3 tacos under "taco Tuesday" at a discounted price ($9) and it does not come with the sides like we did the first time we went to this place, We had asked our waitress about that prior to ordering and she said that she didn't know so I asked another waitress and she did not know either. They were busy so we sucked it up and ate the food that was provided. When the bill came I had politely asked if there was anything that she could do to help with the bill due to our dissatisfaction, in which she responded with a very snarky "Oh so you want me to pay for it" in which I responded "Oh no no no, if it comes out of your pocket I will pay for it no problem", she takes my bill and goes to the cashier and talks to who I presume is the manager and another employee. Meanwhile I look at my friends bill who ordered the EXACT SAME THING AS ME AT THE EXACT SAME TIME, and his bill was higher than mine? I found out that they charged my buddy for the drinks at full price and not the 1 at happy hour price and the other at full price, So I stood up and went over to the cashiers were the 3 people were standing and they said there was nothing they can do about the food because we had eaten the food and the computer is the one who decides the price of the drinks depending on the time they are punched in, Okay I understand the food part (in our defense we weren't trying to be a pain understanding that she was busy and didn't want to make anymore trouble on her). She then brings the bill back and now my bill is HIGHER than it was before and my buddy got one drink discounted. I understandably was very confused by what happened, I asked her why my bill was higher and she said (In my opinion in a very snarky way) "well now you and your friends bill are the same we messed up and accidently charged you the cheaper beer". I then expressed that what she is saying is "Insane" and she said "well it's not my fault". I never said one time it was her fault, just made me feel like I had to pay more because I said something. What ever, 5 dollars was not worth the argument I paid my bill with no other complaints. Finally my other buddy asked for a box and she came up and quite literally shoved the box in front of his face while he was writing out on the merchant copy and dropped it and said "Have a nice day" in a very rude manner. I called them back later on asking for a manager to voice my concerns and he offered me (and I took it) $5 to be refunded back to my account and apologized for the new waitresses actions. IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE MONEY I WOULD HAVE TIPPED HER WHAT EVER MONEY THAT WAS TAKEN OFF OF MY BILL BUT I ENDED UP PAYING MORE. I will never be coming back to this place nor will I EVER recommend anyone to come...
