Not thrilled with the service we received today. The Papa John's we used to get delivery from in Brighton was amazing and we never had any problems. This is 2nd time we've ordered from this location as they are the closest one after our move, and both times the service has been lacking. Today I placed our order at 5:38pm. It finally arrived at 7:12pm even though it originally stated 35-45 min for delivery. So it arrived almost a full hour past when it was promised at the time of order. I called to check on the order twice and both times, the gentleman who answered the phone just said "Hello?". I spent a lot of years working in a restaurant and typically, someone would answer the phone with at least "How can I help you?" or "This is Papa John's" - but not just "Hello?". This is very unprofessional. The employee let me know that they were short a delivery driver or something so they had to call Door Dash to come get my order and deliver it. When the DoorDash driver got here, I asked him if they had forwarded my tip to him since I paid my tip ahead of time online through PapaJohn's. He said not that he knew of. So then I had to tip him on top of what I already had paid. The pizza itself was good. Still mostly warm and made well. But the garlic knots had so much salt on them that they were inedible and they were also way overdone. Overall, just not thrilled with the experience. I think we'll have to get our pizza from somewhere else...
Read moreWorst experience in a long while anywhere. $68 of pizza ordered. 45 minutes later, they had not received the order in store. I showed them the order number. They asked for proof that I was charged, so I showed them my bank account and the screen that thanked me for my order. The in-store employees were not empowered to do anything to fix the situation. They called their manager who told them to not do anything, and told me I'd have to call the 800#. The answering service folks said the order was cancelled, but couldn't say why. My account balance was over $2,000, so not a banking problem. They too offered no resolution until I said that this was a terrible business practice. Then they said a manager from the store would contact us within 48 hours. Of course, that will be the same manager who just told the store employees to ignore the problem. If this all sounds harsh, then keep in mind that I seldom post a bad review, and only after I have had time to cool down. The in-store employees are not to blame. The management and corporate policies are terrible!...
Read moreOrdered my pizza at 2:42pm. Estimated time was 35-45 minutes. Received a phone call at 2:47pm saying the pizza won’t be out for delivery until later because they had no drivers. I completely understand because of the pandemic. But when my order arrived we received the wrong drink. Driver said she will come back with the correct one. (I would have ordered carry out, but I have two kids under the age of 1. I don’t believe in leaving alone in the car.) Timing the drive it should have taken 14 minutes. An hour goes by. I decided to call just to make sure we were not forgotten. I mentioned it has been an hour. The manager called me a liar and said it has only been 25 minutes. That was still long. She said she would call me with an update, but she did not. The manager did tell me she made the mistake, but I feel I should not have been punished for it. I’m use to other stores making it right.
