Ted'z Place Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Commerce City

This is my favorite local bar, and the bartender has the best customer service. Food is great for a good price, and overall this bar and the regulars that frequent this spot have become a second family. I was here on Wednesday night, the night in which Jesse G wrote a one star review about; and he was screaming in the bartenders face. And definitely left out some major details about the interaction. As I frequent this place often I know the rules for drinks in a bar; and upgrading from a soda to a beer; regardless if you're in a pool league or not, isn't a possibility. You order a drink and are then able to get that same drink a second time for free. So no, not on any bar on earth would a bartender give you a free beer, which is what he was asking for, in exchange for buying a soda. Secondly, what bar have you ever gone to where you don't have to put a card down to start a tab for $7.00 tacos TO LEAVE OPEN, or close out your tab immediately. And then he literally screamed in her face at the bar. Before you critique or criticize someone take a look at what role you played in the whole interaction. Which was completely inappropriate and unnecessary. I'm not sure where he's been going out to drink, but I'd say that the rules for starting a tab and bogo drinks are pretty universal. Great lounge vibe! I live to find dives like this. Number 1. $12.95 prime rib dinner on Fridays. It will completely feed two-three normal, average human beings or mildly satisfy one man's Man. (I.e. Guys on buffalos, default all men 6' or taller, or outdoorsmen who have "fought" and/or killed wild animals bigger than them, specifically and only to feast, etc, etc) Number 2. Tedz is the true definition of a resturaunt/lounge. Number 3. (And most importantly) if you harness the energy correctly, you can find just the right temperament of a scene from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. (You pick the scene) Though, I'd highly recomend coming to enjoy either the food or the self-indulging debauchery but not both at the same time. Please, don't be THAT person either. I'm sure you'll find the neighborhood is filled with patriots who would love to support their fellow patrons annoyed in your obnoxiousness by kindly exiting yourself for you. Number 4. Damn good Mexican food. Chile Relleno seekers, you'll need to check this place out.

Really great food. Somewhat a very normal yet unusual spot. Essentially in an industial area and the place was packed for late lunch on a Wednesday. They could use a little more parking judging by the crowd. All of these signs indicate good eats. The clientele appeared to be just folks from the neighbirhood although there was no residential housing to qualify as such. Lots of people seemed to know each other cominh and going so i got the idea they have a large group of very loyal diners. Gotta give the wait staff a break and nice tip as most of the young ladies appeared to be someone's Granny. They might not be as as fast ss they once were this did not at all detract from the level of service Except not offering me a second beer once i was dry.
