Load up the bikes and get out and ride this trail. Look around as you ride and you might see all types of wildlife, including pelicans, or even a wild turkey. You may also see the occasional homeless camp as you travel the south Platte river. I've never had a bad experience.

Dahlia Trailhead gives you the access to Sand Creek Trail at Dahlia St, which is a rather industrial street and area. Several parking spots and nothing else. Besides, it's kind of sketchy even during the day, random people just hanging out in the parking lot.

The walkway was clean and had wonderful trees. Definitely smells not amazing throughout the bike path.

My 4 star review is strictly based off its cycling potential. If I was rating it as a dog walking trail or walking trail in general it would be closer to a 3. The smell on certain parts of the trail can be intense at times but it doesn't last for too long. Wouldn't recommend taking a family here for a walk for various reasons. Needs to be cleaned up. Wish there was actually somewhere nice in this area. Seems like these big corp. Company's cant give back to how much they destroy.. these other reviewers need to "touch grass" id never give this place more then2 stars. Its time...
