I was introduced to Raw Dog Food and Company by a friend. I was always interested to move my dogs to raw food but with so much information out there, I was overwhelmed and not sure which source to trust. Given a strong reference, I went to the Raw Dog Food and Company web site, where they presented a ton of useful information and I learned a lot. The ordering process is simple and straight forward. You can go pick-up, get it delivered, or meet the truck once every two weeks at a certain drop-off location. I choose the drop-off location as it is close-by and easy access for me on Saturday mornings. What I find impressive is that the truck and driver (and the cute co-driver pup!) is ALWAYS early and never late. He is always there with folding tables and the boxes lined up and organized for the people to quickly pick up, which is VERY appreciated especially during this pandemic. My dogs have been on their PMR raw diet for over a month, and I am extremely happy (and so are the dogs!). They come in 2lb tubes and you can order individually or in boxes. Very high quality minced / ground 80/10/10 mix and you can choose a variety of meats. I cannot recommend Raw Dog Food and Company enough! Thank you!

This place is awesome. I'm able to feed Maeby a full raw diet for a reasonable price, something I never thought I could do. Every 2-3 weeks, during Wednesday's Yappy Hour (sign up for their mailing list, and you'll save 5% doing this), I buy 2 boxes of their 10lb mixed PMR and HVM, which ensures Mae eats a wide variety of proteins and receives a balanced diet. I also supplement with their chicken paws and whole sardines for collagen and Omegas. Their customer service is excellent and always super helpful/friendly. Today (after last night's order), they texted me asking if I meant to mark down June 6 instead of July 6 for my pickup (of course I did). Such attention to detail by these folks! Their delivery fee is super reasonable at $15 for anywhere within I think 80 miles of them. So, if I don't happen to be in the area when I need food, I often switch to this option (again, their customer service agents are super helpful and flexible).

From the quality of the food to the customer service, Raw Dog Food and Co Colorado is the absolute best! I recommend them to anyone that has made the switch to raw for their fur baby. Chance has been eating raw since 2020 and has quite literally been reverse aging. He is turning 11 this year but he still has the energy and mobility of a puppy, all thanks to his nutrient dense raw diet. I know without a doubt that this company is extending and improving the quality of life for my fur babe. I rest well knowing I am providing him with the best nutrition possible! It doesn’t get better than a grass-fed raw diet of organ meats and bones and saturated fat. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Edit: Based on the response from DeDe the owner: Again with your accusatory tone in your response. This situation has nothing to do with the customer always being right, and everything to do with the horrible manner in which you spoke to us. I double checked your website and It doesn't say anything in an easy to find place about third party drivers. Which doesn't matter anyway! When you hire someone to deliver your product, they become a representative of your company, period. Instead of calling to chew us out, maybe you should have called the delivery company to ask why they said we could keep the food or else it would be thrown away. Bottom line, we did not steal from you!!! The product we got by mistake was returned to you, and the couple things we kept on accident were paid for!!! Correct????? Putting the monetary amount of the product into your response only furthers your perpetuation that we stole from you, which we did not! To anyone wondering, I have a ring camera video of my conversation with the delivery person, and 2 borderline harassing voicemails from the owner (demanding I take down and then edit my review). I know this place has mostly great reviews, but if you look into the negative ones, they definitely mention customer service as the downfall. Full Review: All I have to say is Wow, I have never been treated so poorly by customer service! Here goes... Yesterday I received an order that was not mine. I told the delivery driver this was not mine and that the address on the boxes were in a different city. He told me if he took it back they would just throw it away and that I could keep it (this is all on my ring camera video btw). I asked him if he was sure, and again he said yes. A couple hours later got a call that we had received the wrong order, which we acknowledged. I told Brian at customer service what had happened/what the driver said. He asked me to box it back up and they would come get it. Annoying to have to do as I had unboxed everything and put it in the freezer, but whatever. I left work to come home and box the stuff back up and put out on the porch and get back to work as quickly as possible. In my haste of doing this, I forgot I had put 2 tubes of food in our fridge to thaw so our dogs could have food. The next morning get a call that 2 tubes of food were missing. I admit I forgot I had put 2 in the fridge. They say they will invoice us for them. I talk with Brian again and tell him they can come pick up the 2 tubes or cancel the invoice for the inconvenience they caused us. He proceeds to try and pin the fault of the delivery driver on me. Turns out they use a third party for delivery (unknown to me, how am I supposed to know that?). Keeps pressing, asking why I would take the food, I didn't return all of it, etc. He finally says he will cancel the invoice. Cool, done, right? Wrong. A few minutes later I get a call from the CEO and she lays into me, tells me I stole from her, lectures me on how their delivery system works and to not let this happen again (on my end? I have no control over a delivery driver). She won't let me get in a word, kept interrupting me, told me theres other food companies out there I can work with. I finally got a word in and asked her why she was trying to make me feel so bad for their mix-up. She says I should feel bad, because I stole from her. She then proceeds to say she doesn't have time for this (she called me!!!!!). I hang up. My wife calls her to try and reason with her, and she proceeds to call her a thief too! I'm just appalled at this whole thing. We've been ordering from them for a couple years, and they're willing to lose a customer over what maybe $20 worth of product??? Like the CEO said, there's other raw food companies out there, so I recommend you take your business elsewhere, like we will be doing. Oh and btw, we paid the invoice for the 2 tubes we kept by mistake, so they are out $0. Done with...

We just decided to switch our dog food to raw after our 9 year old English Cream Golden was diagnosed with lung cancer. Our 9 year old German Shepherd gets the benefit of this change as well. We are only a couple of weeks into the diet change but they love the food. Our shepherd had gained a little meat on her ribs so we need to maybe tweak the amount or up her exercise, but she seems happy and has never been more excited about feeding time. Our Golden is having a slower transition to the raw diet, mostly because he underwent surgery to remove a lung lobe and it seemed like a lot of change at one time. He’ll be fully integrated in another week or so.

I opted to pick up at the warehouse and the gentleman who helped me load the food into the car was kind enough to listen to our situation with cancer and share his experience with his dogs. He also offered me a book to read about the benefits of the raw dog food diet and I’ll pay it forward when we’re done reading it 😊 the meat logs come frozen and luckily we have a separate freezer to store larger quantities so we aren’t picking up too frequently. The food seems to be high quality and our vet recommended starting with a mix of Turkey and beef that contained organ meat. It looks like they have a huge variety to choose from and we will likely incorporate some fish variety down the road. So far a great experience and I wish we would have known earlier since it has such great health benefits. Might have saved ourselves a cancer diagnosis...

When I first decided to switch my pups from kibble to raw, I made my own batch at home. Well, for anyone who has attempted to make their own raw diet, complete with the correct ratio of muscle, bone, organ, and other essential nutrients, they know it's quite difficult and messy!

Enter Raw Dog Food and Company! I searched and searched for a company that would meet my needs as well as my beloved pups. I looked nationally, and large commercial company wide. RDFC came up as a local maker and distributor of raw dog food. The prices are what nailed it for me because most other companies are very expensive due to their packaging and delivery. If I tried to make my own food, complete and with the 80/10/10 parts WITH farm raised meat, I could never meet my price-per-pound goal. RDFC meets all my standards as well as goes above and beyond. I met Dedee (sic?), the owner, one day while I was picking up my food and she's a joy. I told her she has no idea what an influence she has in my dogs' lives as well as my own. So, now to the cherry on top and why I am writing this review: I chose delivery option this week because I live up the hill and hate to drive into Denver at all costs. It's not free delivery, BUT, the packaging!!! A cooler and insulation on the inside! Wow!! Aaaamazing! I will never ever ever ever go back to kibble, nor will I ever switch to another raw food company. If you want to do this for your pets, stop reading and place your first order! You won't be...
