I was on my way home from the dr a couple hrs ago and wanted a chicken salad they are usually good, but I wasnt planning on eating it right away I just didn't want to get back out , so put my salad in the fridge, to eat a little later do it all the time, I took 1 bitet of that chicken and it was sour , so I take it back and the staff , mainly a little girl that looked 16 yrs old im sure she is probably late teens or early 20s literally acted like I was lying asking to me for a receipt which I had in the truck and said i will remake it this time but just remember from now on you need a reciept so she takes my salad around the corner and didnt wash her hands and no gloves no hair restraint they were rude and acted like I was the problem when they are serving sour chicken so finally the little girl that looked 16 was i guess the Mgr. so I went out to my truck and found that reciept, and took it back in there and gave to the one on the front line that can hardly speak English and gave it to him to prove i wasnt trying to steal a salad I was saying I wanted it remade it but she didn't wash her hands no gloves and made it out of same tenders now im afraid to eat it, I eat here alot because of the salads , but this is my last trip to this one for sure, I actually work as a kitchen manager in a much larger restaurant and I know how we would treat that and she wasnt rude and making fun of me treated me like a theif , was rude. of them can't speak English now im afraid to eat it cause l didn't see her make it, I hate this I really zaxbys was my go to place , but the one infront of Walmart in conover nc. I will never come back im not mad im shocked that they are serving sour chicken , I know everyone that has a complaint says they work in a restaurant or ownes a restraint , but this is 1 time I guarantee I am a kitchen manager and know food safety, customer service, and hygiene, now im terrified to eat there cause its all kids there was no adult there, but I didn't want to make a big deal about until your staff did, its been a couple hrs since I ate about 1 chicken tender , they are using leftover tenders that im sure is supposed to be cooked and prepped daily , but that was BAD CHICKEN I hope the franchises see this or at least a district manager, so they can call me if they value that location they would . Read moreBeyond disgusted! I understand that any establishment at any time can have a bad night, but this was a joke. Short version... 7pm,18oct, my 2 kids, wife and I enter the front door and we are greeted with the yong lady at the cash register YELLING something back to the kitchen. We order, but she gets our order wrong because its so freaking loud you can hear. We realise its wrong, but she will not acknowledge we are standing there. Mean while she proceeds to YELL order numbers through the microphone, over the load speaker, that are ready. And I'm talking YELLING. 90% of the customers in there where talking about how unnecessarily loud she was and a few of them jumped when she started speaking. Our kids start crying because they are now upset we cant fix our order. After 5min taking other orders and she still will not acknowledge us. Our order comes up we set down and i got to get our drinks.... Then the fun starts. When I walk over to the single soda dispenser I realize im wlaking all over ice! Its stuck to a rug maybe 10' by 3', but ALL OVER IT. Then i see the person in front of me start yelling because the ice maker/soda dispenser will not stop pooring ice out. After a few seconds it stops then she trys getting a drink, same thing, soda went everywhere! Three other people are standing with her so i proceeded to go to a separate ice machine with that and water only, beside the tea jugs. Jokes on me its broken and the tea is hot. Nice. So after a getting sat down and finally started eating, enjoying the waiting game of "what number will my ear drums burst at". I realized I forgot napkins. Back up by the drink machine, two napkin containers, both empty! Then i see that the straws i got were soaking WET, from who knows what. There were no lids for kids cups or small drinks and the only trash can you could use was the one at the single drink machine that you couldnt get to because now there were a dozen people trying to get drinks... Where was the other trash can that is by the front door, well turned around the wrong way so you could not use it and had to fight through peole spilling ice and soad to put your tray up. Read moreThis is absolutely the worst Zaxby’s ever . Every single time I come here there is a problem and trust me it’s not a staffing issue . I usually don’t do reviews but this is ridiculous and just laziness . Out of all the problems I’ve had this one really ticked me off . I placed my order at 10:40 and arrived at 10:56 , tried to walk in to pick my order up , doors are locked , and I’ve gotten told many times that lobby is open until close to pick up mobile and door dash orders . I pulled around to the speaker and it’s like 10:58 now I waited , no response . Pulled to the window 3 employees just looking at me counting the register and taking it to the back , totally ignores me . Finally this one young guy comes and tells me they are closed I told them I had already placed the order & paid I was just picking up a mobile but the lobby was closed . The goes and talks to the other staff somebody else comes to the window and tells me they threw my order in the trash!!!! I was annoyed because I knew they had closed at 11 and I made sure I was there BY 11 . Never have I seen a restaurant throw a order away before closed!! I asked for a refund and was told they can’t do that or cancel my order . I was just to leave empty handed and they took my money . I want a REFUND ! Train your staff better than this . Like I said this isn’t the first time . Staff is always goofing off and not caring about tending to customers . I find it very hard to believe they threw the order away before close . I think they was just to lazy to even bother making it and that’s ridiculous considering there was a lease seven employees in there at the time .
