Sad to report that the food hasn't been up to par lately (over done, too salty, dirty oil). Anymore, we go for drinks only and eat elsewhere. I am hoping things get right in their kitchen soon! Update Feb 2019: Margs are truly The Bomb here. Can't be beat anywhere! I don't know what their proprietary secret is (though the is much supposition) but let's just say after a single jumbo margarita you will understand! Iwe have learned to steer away from certain dishes but you can't go wrong with their queso, love the flameado (shrimp is great but often we just get mushroom...as a meal). If you have never had their grilled quail, it is the best! The quail has without exception been prepared perfectly every single time we order. It is found on the Presidential Platters section and is called Parillda Hugo Platter. Although the menu didn't offer an option for 1 serving, they will do it upon request. Additionally, you can order a large carte however many grilled quail and add to any meal. Fajitas are a hit or miss for us here. The service has MUCH to be desired here and mistakes with orders are made frequently. Although we havent had the Sunday brunch ourselves, my family says it is quite good, humongous with many, many Mexican dishes and other miscellaneous items such as shrimp cocktail. They are super busy...
Read moreWe had called up & had a reservation for 12/15 of us scheduled for my daughter's 21st birthday.... when we reached there,we were told by supervisor that they didn't have any reservations showing & the other one said that there was a previous party which had occupied the space since 3pm... which meant that those people were there from 3:00pm till past 7:00pm...( More than 4 hrs ???) hence they couldn't set up the table for us ! Nobody had a clue about what they were saying ! Manager was trying to avoid us but when encountered he blamed someone else for it...we had reservation for 7:00pm & it was 7:30 pm and he was telling us to wait for 15 more minutes !!! We had elderly people who drove couple of hours to be there & were supposed to leave early too... the unprofessional management & supervisor just blamed someone else for the mistake.. never apologized for the mess up.We were suggested by the supervisor to sit outside on the porch if we wanted..I think they really don't care or know what is hospitality... thankfully our son called up Fajita Jack and we were immediately accommodated without any reservations !! Would like to warn everyone to think twice before booking any party's.. specially if you have elderly family members in their late 70's and 80's it will be a big...
Read moreHubby and I went out for date night and made the mistake of choosing 7 Leguas on 105 W. Hubby got a couple of hamburger beef enchiladas, beans, rice and cheese puff. He liked his ok enough. I ordered the Shrimp Miz - 3 grilled shrimp, an enchilada that I had converted to spinach and cream sauce, charro beans, rice, and guacamole. The rice was the best part of the meal and I’m not a rice fan at all. The shrimp was overcooked and had absolutely no flavor. The beans were just so-so, the spinach enchilada was just bad. Way too much spinach with zero seasoning (not even salt). The cream sauce wasn’t very good and about room temperature. Speaking of salt - How many full blown Mexican restaurants do you know that don’t have table salt and pepper? When we asked for salt with the chips and salsa the waiter brought us a small to-go cup with small to-go packets of salt. Really? … and the chips were “thick and overcooked”. We like thin, warm and salted! Lesson here: Don’t order what I did and BYOS ~ Bring...
