Is this the best place on all of Yelp?!?
No…but is it a really good sandwich? YES!!!
I saw this place win the best place on all of Yelp and I’ve had it bookmarked for years. However, I couldn’t justify making the drive.
I just happened to be in the area visiting Margaritaville and was looking for dinner and this place popped up and I screamed in excitement!
The family pulled up and it was empty and we were worried it was the wrong place. Upon entering the menu looked really good. We didn’t know what to pick!
So we opted for 1 cold and 3 sandwiches to share.
We had the Danza, Stallone, chicken parm, and meatball. We had the regular sizes and they were huge! They come cut in two and just one half is plenty for one person.
We ended up cutting the whole sandwich into 4ths for the ability to sample all of sandwiches.
The cold one was good but the hot ones were just a whole level more. When they are baked the cheese gets melted and the bread gets crispy.
My favorite was the Danza it was packed full of meat. The meatball was next and then Stallone and finally the chicken parm. The chicken parm was just a little dry. But man the sandwiches are packed with flavor. It takes a little long to make but totally worth the wait.
After eating them would I make the drive again? Unfortunately almost 2 hrs for a sandwich even this good is not worth it. But if I was in the area again? Heck yeah you better believe it and at...

To start with, every single thing our group ordered was delicious. The Italian beef was delicious and tasted homemade in the best ways. The ham melt was the most simple in theory, but was layered with delightful flavors. Every bite was a perfect composition. The Reuben was delicious and HUGE! and the greatest shocker of all was the antipasti salad which was so good I honestly couldn't believe it. Really big portions of each topping which came together for a beautifully fresh and filling salad. Maybe the best salad I've ever had.
The staff was so nice and patient with us. I accidentally left my purse and one of the ladies working ran it out to our car! Really kind, professional, and down to earth nice.
There was not a single negative to our entire experience!
As someone who has worked in Italy for the past 4 years, this was American authentic in the best way. A beautiful homage to the original that's delicious in every bite. We even loved the cannoli that, while sweeter than the Italian version, are on par with what you expect in an Italian hub like the North End in Boston. Truly a great experience all-around. Not...
Read moreNot sure what I was expecting, as I'm originally from the NJ/NY area, and a bit picky when it comes to Italian Delis. Memories from being a kid, I know what I used to get; therefore, hold a pretty high standard. The experience started off bad while parking; there wasn't any, small lot. I ordered a Joe Pesci thinking I'd get a much larger sandwich, as seen in the online photos, but did not. The roast beef you get on the East Coast is much different as well; wish I could find the brand. Also ordered a cannoli, only to get home and find some other desert; same price, but not what I'd paid for. Spent something around $15 when I felt like I'd gotten $10 worth of food. I liked the autographs on the wall when you walk in; shame they weren't photocopied. Staff was very kind and quick when I picked my online order up. Not sure what to think; still a Jersey Mikes fan at the moment. The final fun was when I tried to leave, someone that was in line behind me to pick up food was also double-parked behind my vehicle. Not enough parking during the lunch...
