818 Asian Fusion in Boca Raton offers a visually stunning dining experience, with beautifully designed decor that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant earns a solid 4.1 out of 5, reflecting the effort put into its ambiance and presentation. While the portion sizes were generous, the flavors didn’t quite match the expectations. We ordered the Siu Mai, which, unfortunately, lacked depth in taste and arrived slightly undercooked. The appetizer also fell short on seasoning, making the overall meal feel somewhat mediocre. While the setting and service were commendable, the food itself could use some refinement to match the high standards set by the restaurant’s aesthetics.

818 Asian Fusion in Boca Raton is an incredible spot for delicious and fan-favorite Asian dishes! The sushi rolls are beautifully presented and packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, while the hot dishes are filled with flavor. We enjoyed the grilled beef short ribs and bulgogi! The dim sum are fantastic and we learned they’re made in house. The restaurant has a modern and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal or a night out. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always happy to recommend their best dishes. If you’re looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience, 818 Asian Fusion is a must-visit! Located at 21659 FL-7 in West Boca, 818 Asian Fusion is a new addition to the family of 818 restaurants, which includes 818 Shanghai and 818 Hot Pot. The concept combines sushi, Korean, and dim sum offerings, with dim sum made at 818 Shanghai. Ownership is fully Chinese, but the menu leans heavily into an Americanized approach. Rachel and I visited for lunch, keeping our focus on the dim sum since we planned to visit 818 Shanghai the next day for their main dishes. While the dim sum menu features around 20 items, only about a dozen are currently available. We ordered Siu Mai, Noh Ma Gai (chicken sticky rice), and Fried Mandoo from the Korean appetizer section. • Siu Mai: A completely pork version that was large but tasted bland. It wasn’t bad, but it definitely needed chili oil or hot mustard to elevate it. • Sticky Chicken Rice: Comforting and cooked well, but, like the Siu Mai, it lacked seasoning. • Mandoo: These were a miss. As gyoza, they were decent—homemade with pork, glass noodles, and cabbage—but calling them mandoo is a stretch. They lacked any Korean elements like kimchi, garlic, or chile, which are essential to authentic mandoo. We also sampled some kimchi and banchan. Unfortunately, the kimchi wasn’t fermented enough, leaving it underdeveloped, though it did have some heat from gochu flakes. The white radish kimchi was flavorless, and the fish cake and seaweed salad tasted store-bought. Our server, a friendly second- or third-generation Chinese American, mentioned that the restaurant tones down its flavors to cater to a primarily American audience. We even had to request chili oil for the dumplings. I briefly looked over the sushi menu, but it seemed to offer the standard fare, with items like “white tuna” (escolar) featured prominently—an immediate turnoff for me. The restaurant itself is modern and attractive, located in a busy plaza. While it will likely do well with the local crowd, the higher prices compared to Broward and the toned-down flavors make it less appealing for those seeking bold, authentic tastes. I’m hoping 818 Shanghai takes a more serious approach to its Cantonese and dim sum offerings.

I have tried three times for this specific restaurant. First time dine-in experience is pretty impressed by the inside decorations. The second time I had ordered delivery to the house, overall it's as impressive as I could imagine. However, this time, just now, I couldn't really provide any positive feedback. Before today, this restaurant was my best Asian restaurant in Boca. In today's dish, Seafood Doenjang - Jjigae, there is a huge piece of plastic. Well, it was the worst you could expect inside a soup. And the portion for bibimbap was way reduced compared to previous orders. Be careful with the food! You are a restaurant, please serve something can be digested.

This was my first time at Asian Fusion, it’s fairly close so I wanted tô try it. The menu is very big, I was surprised. I ordered about 3 appetizers for me instead of main meal, I really liked the food but my pizza crust form tuna pizza was a bit stale, the rest was honestly perfect. I just really wish that the menu had pictures or more description because I ordered a pepper tuna sashimi and more salad came than the tuna. Overall, I liked this place and it was very empty since it just opened up, I definitely recommend it as a new and nice experience, although; (keep in mind) it is a bit pricey.

Just okay. This is Chinese owned like most places trying their best with Japanese and Korean food. We are Japanese (and eat a lot of Korean food). I had the soondubu and it was mediocre. Yoshee down the street (sadly closed) was much better. The atmosphere is nice and nicely decorated, but it was empty the eve we came. Good service. I do see the food getting better and actually think they will do great if they had a happy hour similar to Yakitori, the very popular east side spot. You are not going to get authentic Japanese or Korean dishes. I would try it again and possibly change my rating.
