Been here many times, never ate anything. I usually go to the hookah side which is separate from the restaurant/bar however the waiters do come to the hookah side and take your food and drink orders. I love that you can control the music as there’s a blue tooth speaker. Anytime me and hubby goes he plays good music that the crowd vibe to (we’re both music lovers). I’ve been here alone and was the only one in the hookah section vibing to my own playlist which was so relaxing, felt like I was at home. I love how you can see outside, it’s all glass however a few times it rained and the rain was coming inside (not where you’re seated tho ) so I feel they should seal up those areas. The bathroom is on the restaurant side so you have to leave out from the hookah side and go through another door that leads to the bar/restaurant and the restrooms are located in the back. That’s probably the only thing that I wish they had on the hookah side but overall the crowd is chill and mature, there’s no dress code and the hookahs are good. I did see a couple get thrown out after being asked several times not to dance the way they were (they were out of towners from Philly and basically treating the place like it was a strip club). The workers are polite and always get my respect as I get theirs. Definitely one of my go to places in Delaware to relax and...
Read moreWe ordered the 7 course meal and were pleasantly surprised when the server draped towels on our laps and washed our hands with rose water. The first salad course was very tasty especially the eggplant. The b'stella was a little disappointing, after having it many times in Morocco we were expecting shredded chicken, but this was ground chicken mixed with a lot of egg. The spicy chicken was pretty spicy and tangy and we loved it. The lamb with almond and honey rice was oily and wet but still tasty. The fruit was impressive, we were amazed by the strawberries. The mint tea came sweetened which we didn't like, it was too sweet, so maybe ask for sugar on the side. The bathrooms were clean but basic The hookah was in a separate heated outdoor space, and required sharing of booths. We were not a fan as it took away privacy and made it awkward. They also had VERY loud music which we asked to have turned down, which they did. She used an electric starter for the hookah which we thought was cool and a good addition. The servers were all friendly, the male servers were very polite, and sweet. The female servers were shouting in front of us amongst themselves, and felt like they were ready to call it a day.
An 18% service charge was automatically added onto our bill.
Overall we enjoyed the ambience, and culture of the place it was very...
Read moreOh man...I LOVED this place as a kid. Packed restaurant, comfy seating, amazing food, and great service. When I went back recently I was so disappointed. There were only 2 tables of customers (one of which was us) on a weekend evening. The food was delicious-just as I remembered, except for one thing. It's now 6 courses, not the 7 they told us at the beginning of the meal. They got rid of the potato and cous-cous course. They added rice to the lamb course and said that counted as 2 courses now. It's not a huge deal, but definitely not 7 courses. The worst part was the service. Waitresses are playing on their phones the whole time. Water glasses are sitting empty. Waiting longer than needed between courses because of the inattentiveness. I would understand if the place was packed, but that was far from the case. We had to ask for water. They brought a pitcher of water and didn't fill up our empty glasses; just put the pitcher on the table. They left the previous courses' dirty dishes on the table (that were clearly empty) when they brought out the next course. My husband had to go ask for the check because their faces were buried in their phones. I love the food. It's sooo good!! If they could fix the service, maybe I'll give it...
