Didnât want to do this but management should know what happened last night. Called the restaurant around 10PM asking the wait time for 3 people and already I could tell the hostess was being weird with a little tone to her voice. once we arrived her face definitely matched her tone lol she did not look like she wanted be there AT ALL. Anyways we get on the waitlist and are seated around 10:30PM but our server Duy didnât get to us till almost 10:45 not even with waters mind you). On top of that the hostess had told us 11:20 is the kitchen cutout of time. Which is understandable considering they close @ 12AM. We order our meats, rice, no salad because they ran out. we also each got ONE napkinđ had to repeatedly ask Duy for more sides which he never brought, since they ran out of salad youâd think theyâd give us rice and sides right? Nope we had to continuously ask and EACH one of us had to ask separately each timeđ like dude youâre out of salad and you see us eating just the meat. Like at least ask if thereâs anything we need? Anyways so itâs 11:15PM and Duy brings the check to the table saying theyâre closing the register so we have to pay. Okaaaaay. IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR MEAL. We pay and he brings back the receipt & I continue to eat my meal when not even 5mins later he comes back to ask for the signed receipt while I was in the middle of eating with my ONE napkin so no I havenât signed it yet with my dirty hands sir. He left and then again not even 5mins later the jolly hostess comes to the table and asks if we can sign the receipt because theyâre closing the register (mind you Iâm literally mid conversation and sheâs basically at this point demanding to have signed receipt standing there until I sign it). I was like âyou guys close @ 12AM right?â And she goes âyes but can you sign itâ with her face just staring me down almost, it was very odd. Look I understand you want to go home after closing time and the kitchen closes early to clean up so theyâre not there too late but closing a register doesnât take THAT long to the point where youâre literally interrupting your customerâs meals, staring them down while demanding to get your signed receipt and tips. Thereâs plenty of Korean BBQ places around that probably train their employees better so if youâre one of those who appreciates good service this is not the place right now lol first time that we get that type of service there but hey thereâs a first time for everything. I hope management sees...
Read moreOK I normally don't post bad reviews but I had a terrible experience this past Sunday with my boyfriend and I'm STILL bothered by it.
Sunday 8/16 at like 2/3pm whatever white male server w light brown hair needs to work on his attitude. (Didn't day his name, just said hello and asked if we'd been here before)
Let me preface by saying that Sunday was maybe my 3rd visit here in 2 years so I don't know all the rules off the top of my head about what order you should get your meat in, but my boyfriend and I started with brisket and asked for bulgogi second. Anyways, so the Brisket is cooked and as our waiter puts a different grill plate down to cook the bulgogi, he asks us what meat we want next, and we said pork, and he immediately mutters something under his breath, pulled all the bulgogi off the flame, turns on his heel, and stomps back to the kitchen. He came back and just put the previous blackened brisket grill plate back on the flame and dumps the pork and leaves immediately. after we cooked that, he comes back, silently takes that grill plate and switches it for a clean one to cook bulgogi on, which he just dumped onto the flame and left. he was very short and cold to us the rest of the meal and kept leaving the flame really strong to the point that our table was the only one that had smoke and VISIBLE FLAMES coming from it, and a different waiter had to come twice to turn it down for us. I also asked him for clean napkins and as he was clearing the table like maybe 5 mins later between meat, he just took them all back with him ????
I've never had a worse experience, have flames so hot that most of the meat was dark and burnt on the edges, and a waiter be so cold and careless towards a table. I'd love to come back because the food is great and service is usually amazing, but I would steer clear of that waiter.
Also, posting this on yelp AND google because it...
Read moreFood was good. Too many rules. Lunch took 2 HOURS
Each meat was seasoned differently. The lemon chicken was unique and tasty and the meats were not over sweet. Bulgoki and pork neck was good. Steamed egg was unique and good.
HOWEVER they had so many many rules as to how, when and how much food is served for an All You Can Eat. Thus, everything takes longer and our lunch took 2 hrs to finish eating and self cooking it for a party of 6. THE Restaurant RULES Your whole party had to be there before you can be seated. ; we had 6 out of 7 present at 11.30am but they still gave us grief when there were 5 customers in the entire restaurant with 12 empty large tables.
Only one of each kind of complementary side dish could be served at a time: since we had 6 people, some people on the other side had to reach over the open fire to get the food. Most Korean restaurants provide 2 complete sets (4 side dishes/set) for 6 people.
When we asked for 1 more of a certain dish, the server said no, until we asked to speak to the manager. Even then, both the server and manager said no politely. Eventually, they made a one time exception to serve 1 duplicate complimentary side dish. It's not their fault as they were following house rules.
They served water only after food was being served: when we complained why, they said they will make an exception and brought out the drinks before the food. Strange.
The rationale for these rules is to reduce wasted food. However in our case, the rules made for a very long and inefficient lunch, as you need to cook each meat yourself.
It is better to arrive with a group of 7 people versus 6 so you will be seated at a table w 2 round skillets to cook instead of 1 skillet. Thus, you can cook double quantities of meats at a time!
The ideal size for their booth should be 4 persons, which they crammed...
