Mi Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant & Cantina — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

This review is based upon my experience with the staff after attempting to locate my food order. Yes you said it will be over an hour for delivery, you didn't say over an hour and a half. When I called to inquire the second time, the person answering was rude. The food arrived soggy and wilty and cold. Almost $50 for terrible food. The excuse given is that we live so far away, we are exactly 9 minutes away. The driver apparently had vehicle issues. Truth be told, our food should have been recooked and delivered fresh, not gross after sitting in a broken down car. In person has always been good food (little too salty) and good service. Both times I have ordered to-go and have had to call to figure out where my food is and it's always met with a rude response from the person answering the phone and over an hour and a half wait. I don't want food poisoning, we threw our dinner away. I would love a refund please.

P.S. Sopapillas are supposed to be like beignets, soft and fluffy with a pocket to put honey or ice cream into. The "sopapillas" here are chewy fried flat flour tortillas sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, more like a cinnamon crisp. That was also a...

Our server was super nice so this is not a rating for her. The food, however, was subpar. We are from out of town so we looked up food nearby and this place had 4.2 stars so we figured it would be nice. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, my friend ordered the pollo primavera, and our kids got chicken nuggets and a quesadilla. The veggie burrito wasn’t horrible, but the cheese on top just didn’t taste right. The rice and refried beans tasted canned and heated up. Her chicken was probably half of the size you’d expect for chicken breast: My kid’s quesadilla had cold cheddar cheese all throughout. Her kid’s chicken nuggets were pretty crunchy/overcooked. So I have been here to eat SEVERAL times! I even met my sons father at there little bar for the first time. I hate to write this review but I feel like it would be a disservice to others if I didn’t... I went There for lunch yesterday with my two year old. I always order the same thing a veggie burrito. And like most of the other items on the menu It comes with rice beans lettuce etc. It’s always been fantastic!. I started making a little plate for my son and when I looked back at my plate there was a roach!! It must’ve crawled out of the lettuce! I’m not exactly sure what it crawled out of but it was disgusting! And I was horrified! I will NEVER RECOMMEND OR EAT THERE...
