Me and my bf are here for the Viva Las Vegas rockabilly weekender and we thought this would be a cute little place to eat at. It's very kitchy with all the 50's decor. The menu is great so much stuff to choose from. We were seated right away. We were asked for a drink order as soon as we sat down. 2 Orange juices and waters. That's all we said and the busser just said ok. Then our server came and took our orders. I couldn't decide on what I wanted between the Chile Verde omelette or the Scooby-Doo chilaquiles. He helped me pick the Scooby-Doo chilaquiles. It came with steak, I ordered it rare. My bf got the ham steak and eggs with a bagel. I'm sure my meal came with a side of toast that I never got asked which kind I wanted, which was fine no big deal. Food came fast which was nice. My steak was not great. The meat tasted a little old. Maybe should've ordered it well done. But everything else was good and filling. The steak wasn't even needed. But here's where we lose the rating. Again we aren't from here, it's our first time at this place. We get the bill $9 per cup of orange juice. My bf had already given them his card, but I needed to check the menu about that price. On the menu it states juices are 4.49, so we question it and the manager comes to speak with us about it and says you were told the price for fresh squeezed OJ, we most definitely were not. Try to explain that to them that it was not explained to us about the price for a fresh squeezed orange juice. She also mentioned that they do have orange juice on tap but the machine was broken that too was not mentioned to us either. The only thing she offered us what's pumpkin bread to make up for the indiscretion. Rather than reverse the payment she only offered us pumpkin bread. Again at no point in time where we notified that the price of fresh squeezed orange juice that we did not know we were getting was $9 a cup. Not only that nowhere on the menu does it State they have fresh squeezed orange juice at that price. I'm not one to make up stuff to save money. I'm on vacation I'll be spending no problem. The issue is the principle. Bread doesn't fix...

My mom and I had a late breakfast at Omelet House 50 Diner at 3050 E. Desert Inn Rd in Las Vegas on April 17, 2024. We were seated right away. It took the waitress about 12 minutes to acknowledge us and take our orders. I ordered the 7 ingredient build your own omelet with chicken being one of the ingredients. My mom order liver and onions with mash potatoes and gravy and a strawberry milkshake. She then changed her order to blueberry stuffed French toast, but told the waitress to give her the liver and onions order to go. When our food came I had the most tasteless, overcooked omelet. The chicken was hard as a rock. My mother got stuffed apple french toast. I told the waitress about my omelet. She offered me another one and I said just don't charge me for the chicken, as I don't like complaining and sending food back. I told her that my mom ordered blueberry french toast and they gave her apple. She apologized and offered to make the blueberry french toast, which we again refused. We told her that we hadn't yet received the strawberry shake. When the shake came, it was more vanilla tasting than strawberry. The waitress didn't come back to our table and the busser gave us the $50.35 check. When I went to pay it, our waitress was at the register. There is a $1.00 upcharge to use a card, which there is nothing in writing until you get to the register and look on the counter, which is then too late if you don't have cash. After I got home, I realized that I was charged for the chicken on my omelet and there was no gravy on the liver and onions. I was very disappointed in the food quality and taste. This was the first time eating at this restaurant and it most likely will be the last time. I so wanted to like the food, because I have eaten at 2 other Omelet House locations and the food was very good. Atmosphere was good with diners laughing and talking...

It's been years since I've tried this place. So I thought I'd give it another try. For the most part the food was pretty good . Had an omelette with chicken in it and some vegetables, The reason I took two stars away because of the fact that this business charges you to use your credit card. Whether you spend only $5 or over $100 this business has a $1 transaction fee to use your credit card. This to me is bad business as I own a business as well you should not penalize your customers for business expenses like transactions from the merchants using a credit card. Do you realize people actually spend more on a credit card than they do having to pay cash? Look things go up unfortunately, when the water bill or the power bill goes up do you post a sign saying now you have to charge an additional fee because those items cost more? No! Charging a transaction fee because a customer decides to use a credit card is not only unethical but it makes no sense as a business owner and it's bad customer service. Yes it's posted... when you check out. First it should not be a fixed amount, it should be based on the amount spent since that's how the merchant is charging you. Or you should have a minimums to use a CC. Either way even though the food was pretty good... I hardly ever bring cash and so do most of my friends and family. So for that reason I will not be back here nor do I recommend because to me that makes no sense. There are many businesses including fast food restaurants that do not charge to use your credit card no matter what the...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5-Star Review – A Blast from the Past at 50’s Diner! Stepping into 50’s Diner in Las Vegas is like taking a time machine straight back to the golden age of jukeboxes, chrome, and rock ’n roll. The vibe is spot-on vintage — black-and-white checkered floors, red leather booths, and walls lined with classic pin-ups and retro memorabilia. They even have a Chevy Bel Air booth — yeah, an actual car turned into a table. That’s how deep they go into the theme! The service? Fast, friendly, and downright old-school in the best way. You’re treated like family the moment you walk in. Now for the food — top notch. I had a hearty plate loaded with crispy chilaquiles, two perfectly runny sunny-side-up eggs, grilled steak, creamy refried beans, fresh avocado slices, and sour cream. Full flavor, no shortcuts. And for the kiddo? Classic pancakes with butter melting just right, scrambled eggs, and sausage that was cooked to perfection. Clean plate = happy customer. Whether you’re craving comfort food or just want a legit retro experience, 50’s Diner hits the mark. Nostalgia, great food, and better service — what more can you ask for? Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

I’m started off say I’m not happy with the food I ate . I ate here four times before today and I get the same thing every time the pizza omelet. I shared it with my coworker and he said somethings off about it I feel like the cook literally just poured the marinara sauce on it straight out the can or whatever how they do it . The server try explained to me that is the marinara sauce that’s Why my meal was so wet? I had this meal four times before and I never remember it being like this I think because of the language barrier the server didn’t understand what I was trying to say she took it as a complaint, I just want a different plate because my fries were wet and I had a hard time eating this omelette. The customer service is decent it’s just the language barrier made me repeat my self several times when placing a order and the sever that server had to ask another employee about the menu. Overall I’m willing to give this place another try in the future

We visited for breakfast on the weekend. I ordered bacon and eggs with hashbrowns. They offered jalapeno bacon. That sounded great so I tried half regular and half jalapeno. I asked for crispy (And unlike some places, I actually got it crispy here.) The spicy bacon was good. The toast comes unbuttered, but with real butter pats available to put on yourself. I like that. I get to control how much butter I put on, and it's "real" butter, unlike some places that use the fake stuff. My eggs were done the way I like. This place is named very similar to the other Omelet House - but it's not related(?) The menu looks similar and the potatoes look similar. There's an online coupon you can buy but only works at this place. Just be warned. I made the mistake of trying to use it at the other place. Oops. The music playing matches the decor. Everyone is very friendly. The food came out quickly. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll be back.
