KBBQ Enthusiast here. I live 3 hours from this area but always check out the new spots when we're around there once or twice a year. Saw several social media posts recommending this spot and read plenty of the reviews here. We decided to skip the AYCE places and go for quality.
The food and service were all top notch fantastic. No complaints about what we ate. We ordered the Prime Combo and an extra a la cart order of pork belly. The meat quality was all very good.
My biggest complaints here come down to value. This was unquestionably a pretty expensive meal. The ribeye steak was pretty thin cut (maybe 1/4" thick) compared to the photos I saw elsewhere (where it looked to be about 3/4-1" thick). The Prime combo is $25 more than the Beef Combo, and this is the only difference, so I wouldn't consider this a good upgrade that I'd do again.
Based on other reviews and social media posts, I thought the combo came with Steamed Egg, but we only got Corn Cheese and Soy Bean Paste Soup. We did ask and was told it was not included. The menu has these listed as "Extra" as if you're getting them all but you can pay $6 for additional orders. The menu doesn't state what side dishes are included.
Banchan we received was fish cake, kimchee, some other spicy or kimchee leafy green (bok choy or collard greens?),picked radish, and mashed potatoes. There was also a green salad. I would've liked to have seen some of the other vegetables I've seen in other pictures such as cucumbers, broccoli, bean sprouts, etc.
I hope that this isn't a case where influencers are getting bigger portions or extra stuff so it looks better online. Or maybe they started big and things have gotten smaller and less is included since they opened 9 months ago.
We may be back, but I hope the value improves. There are so many KBBQ options in the area and surrounding areas, that there's got to be a good reason to walk in the door and not...
Read moreThe other day I came back and everything is still excellent like the last. We surprised Kevin still remember us and delivered the food as we pleased! Sorry for taking too much time because we need to feed my baby 😹Thanks again! ——————- Honestly better than all the K-BBQ places we’ve tried in Annandale both in food and service. The meats are all high quality cuts and perfectly marinated (we highly recommend the marinated galbi). The combos have good portions for the price, and we definitely getting the Prime beef combo if you like beef. The namyeong is also on point, and is very refreshing if you’re feeling a bit overloaded from all the meats. The staff here actually understand how to grill and cut meat so that it remains tender and juicy. The restaurant was fairly busy but there were no signs of smoke from grilling. We as a party of 4 adults with a baby stroller came in rather late at 8.30PM after a long day of outlet shopping, but everyone were extremely accommodating and helpful. Our server (I think his name was Kevin) asked us how we liked our meats cooked and delivered perfectly. He constantly asked if we needed more rice, banchan or wrapping lettuce (all unlimited), and continued to serve us 20 minutes past their opening time with a smile. We had to feed our baby during the meal, which meant it took us longer to eat, but not once did we feel rushed. It truly felt like the staff here wanted guests to have the best dining experience possible, so the service far exceeds what you usually find in an establishment at this price point. This has become our new fav K-BBQ and we’ll definitely make the 1 hour drive from our place just...
Read moreFirst time here and we were very impressed with the service, the quality of food, and the restaurant atmosphere.
Service: everyone from front of house interacted with us and stopped by the table. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and they kept the table from getting crowded with dishes. I don’t know if anyone else has this problem but at other kbbq places I’ve visited, I constantly feel like I have to manage the dishes from taking too much space but at Oseyo they take care of everything for you which was greatly appreciated.
Food: 10/10 we got the regular Combo 1, which is supposed to serve 2 people, I think you could probably get away with 3 people potentially. Everything is served in the same order as its listed on the menu. Everything was marinated perfectly and every cut was extremely tender. This might not have been AYCE but we both felt as full as we would with AYCE. I’ll also add that we didn’t leave smelling like kbbq, so their ventilation system does a really good job.
Atmosphere: we visited on a Thursday night before Valentine’s Day and the atmosphere was quiet but inviting. They have ginkgo leaf chandeliers over the bar which were a really nice touch. Overall it was a very nice restaurant and an option that will be replacing our need to travel to places in chantilly/centreville for kbbq.
Well done and thank you! We will be back again once we’re not...
