All I can say is⦠WOW! Iāve been to Pies by Di twice now, and both visits have been incredible.
The first time was on the last day of my Asheville trip. I already knew the bakery was gluten-free, but when I asked if they had any dairy-free options, Di told me that about 80% of the bakery is also dairy-free. I completely lost all rational thought at that point ā because I never have that many options when eating out!
Iāve been dreaming about going back ever since, and today I finally made the drive from Asheville to Hendersonville just to stock up on goodies. Di is so kind, helpful, and patient while I stand there in awe, trying to process the fact that I can actually eat almost everything in the bakery. She even package everything so I can freeze them and enjoy treats throughout my stay ā and told me I can order online when Iām not in the area.
Of course, I couldnāt wait. As soon as I got in the car, I tried the cinnamon roll donut ā 10/10! Perfect texture, incredible flavor, and it hit the spot. After lunch, I gave in again and had an apple hand pie ā another 10/10. Flaky crust, not too sweet, and the apple filling was the perfect texture.
The rest of my treats are safely in the freezer now, because honestly, I canāt be trusted with them on the counter! Pies by Di is a true gem ā delicious, allergy-friendly, and run by someone who clearly puts her heart...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped in today after seeing reviews on the find me gluten-free app. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to the biggest smile and the warmest hello and to hear Miss Di say that everything she makes is gluten-free. I could have cried hearing those words. Then I could have cried again when I tasted her amazing desserts. Being gluten-free for a few years now desserts are the things that I miss the most And her donuts were so fluffy and delicious! The muffin was amazing as well. Everything I got did not taste gluten-free at all. To know that everything is prepared safely and delicious is such a rare gem. I will definitely be back on a regular basis!
