The Foxy Fish — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

Very disappointed with the service and food. Went there around 5:15. Were told the wait was 15 mins. 20 mins go by and our pager still did not go off. I noticed several other customers pulled up in the parking lot and were seated right away. I waited 5 more mins and went to the hostess and asked how much longer. She looked at her waiting list and said I am sorry, I forgot about you. So she then seated us. During our 25 min wait we looked at menus and knew what we wanted to order. We got our drinks, ordered an appetizer then our meals. We waited 40 mins and noticed another table who was seated after us already got their meals. We asked the waitress how much longer until our meals would be ready. She said she would check and came back and said it won't be too much longer but the steak and cheese sandwiches was what was taking so long?? Steak and cheese? We ordered 2 steak and cheese sandwiches and a fish meal. That was it. I asked to speak with a manager. The manager came over and said we are busy and are serving the tables as they come in and they had a big group in the back. I told him it has been 45 mins and still no meals. We were tired of waiting and asked to get our meals to go. He said they were boxing them up. IT took 10 more mins for them to box them up!! Manager never offered a discount for the long wait or apology. We noticed how packed the carry out/pick up was on the other side of the restaurant and knew that was why we had to wait so long. Those orders were causing the dining customers to have to wait longer. When we go home, our meals were incorrect. I ordered kale and got asparagus which was rubbery and bitter. My fish was bland and the rice pilaf was dry and hard. Our other order of Steak and Cheese had ketchup and tomato on it. We did not order those condiments. We rarely go out for dinner due to COIVD and are very selective. This experience ruined our evening and dinner. We will not be...

Went today with my husband and daughter because I was craving seafood! We were seated pretty quickly, then 10 minutes went by before we were ever acknowledged by one of the 2 waitresses that was working the 4 table section, 3 of which has guests seated. Then after she says I'll be right with you, she walks away then comes back and completely ignored us to start taking the drink orders of the table that was just seated. EVERYONE in this section except us had their orders taken or at least their drinks already at this point and here we are waiting for them to come and greet us or offer us drinks. THEN the second waitress comes in asks us (as she is carrying drinks for another table) if we've been helped. When we answered no, she huffs rolls her eyes in the other waitresses direction then says " give me 2 seconds" then she starts taking another order. We are sitting there with a 4 year old and a pregnant woman who are obviously hungry and thirsty all the while my husband has 15 minutes on his stopwatch since we had been seated!!! Finally we just got up and left with a screaming hungry child because what 4 year old understands that we are leaving because it was obvious no one wanted to wait on us at this point. I totally understand that sometimes people get busy or distracted or whatever the case maybe... but this was just ridiculous! I would say in total we were sitting there for about 20 minutes without even being asked if we would like a drink. It wasn't even as busy as it was the last...

My wife and I have lived in the southern Maryland area for just about 6 years now and we finally got around to visiting the Foxy Fish....and I can’t believe we waited that long!

I’ll start the review by noting that there was attention to detail in regard to cleaning and sanitizing the table and chairs be fore we took our outdoor seats, there is ample social distanced outdoor seating in their spacious tent. As another reviewer mentioned...you will have guests at your table, but it’s southern main the summer....the flies are everywhere, but the fans placed strategically around the tent did a pretty good job of keeping them at bay.

Our server Shelby P was awesome! She happily provided recommendations as we were torn between all the delicious sounding options on the menu. We started with some of the best hush puppies we have had! They are moist, sweet, and best of all not heavily battered and fried so the flavors really shine through. The hits kept on coming out of the kitchen with our main courses; the Fish n’ Chips basket and the Blackened Fish Tacos. Again the chefs nailed the battle on the fish and the seasoning on the Rockfish was on point! Also, I must also point out that Foxy Fish uses flour tortillas, which does a fantastic job of holding the flavorful sauce inside.

We will definitely be back to the Foxy Fish again; I highly recommend...
