We chose to eat at the Great Passion Play Buffet about a month ago when we came to see the play. It was very convenient to eat there on the property, then stay for the play rather than trying to eat in town and get over to the play, get parked, etc.
The food was great - lots of choices, very fresh and tasty. I loved the salad bar - the only thing missing was bacon bits!
The staff were very active, walking around collecting used plates and clearing tables. Note that it is set up like a large cafeteria with long tables and chairs to seat 20+ each so there was plenty of seating available. We arrived right after it opened, then had time to visit other things on the property, so it wasn’t crowded, but I bet it gets crowded closer to showtime.
Note that it is open to the public - you’re welcome to go eat there even if you aren’t going to see the play. It’s operates like any other...
