Sportsman's Bar — Restaurant in Converse

Great place to socialize, hang out, watch a game, get a beer, meet some friends, listen to LIVE Rock music.

I go in here and shoot pool and watch football at times. I've brought out of town friends in here etc. The bar tenders are "sharp" and they give you hell if you're a patron (I try not to patron at one single bar because the service tends to go down, so I rotate venues) but it is all in good fun.

There are some good pool shooters that play here in leagues and such and the live bands always ROCK any request you have for country, rock, classic rock etc.

I have never had a bartender open a beer for a patron and leave it on the table top to get hot. She didn't even call out to me or bring it to my table even though I've seen her do it for others. I wasn't thinking in my shock she did that... I should have thrown it away, not knowing what others had done to it since she left it on the counter for all to grab. We have passed this bar often and decided to stop in. From the outside, it gives the illusion of being a small bar. Once we walked in, we were surprised by the size and all the tables along with pool tables and dart boards. It was dark and our eyes had to adjust as it was bright outside.
