Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Conway

Love of everything pizza. Our first taste of Marco’s was visiting the Garden City location and we were hooked. Now after moving to Conway and much to our happiness a new pickup/delivery location has just opened near Coastal Carolina University on SC-544. In 1978 this pizza chain began making their pies the authentic Italian way with dough made from scratch, fresh in store, a special three cheese blend, and their own special sauce. The All Meat Bowl is everything you want in a pizza without the crust. Pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage and bacon baked with their original sauce and signature three cheeses, topped with romesan seasoning. Cheesybread was their own signature, fresh baked bread strips with their own signature three cheeses and garlic sauce. A light garlic, buttery flavor with a soft, chewy texture. A side of original pizza sauce and ranch dipping sauce comes with it. Pickup was quick and service was friendly....

Sure, it's easy to disregard this place because it is a chain-owned store in a strip mall. We have all seen millions just like it. But on the night when I stopped by to eat from my favorite pizza chain, my feelings of excitement were overshadowed by the services provided by an employee named "Steve". This man went above and beyond for my order, which was great. What was truly inspiring was how this kind soul shared that same enthusiasm and positivity with everyone who walked through the door. Steve was pulling triple duty, working the assembly line and oven, taking orders, and even hand-delivering orders at the door, saving folks a trip to the counter.

While the store was clean and well-lit, just like millions of others, Steve, however, was the "one-in-a-million" human who exceeded...

The pizza is pretty good. I got a large original crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage, feta, and green olives. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is that I ordered the crust to be garlic buttered and parmesaned. I see Parmesan around the pizza on the cardboard but not on the crust, I don’t see any garlic butter. Now this doesn’t mean that someone didn’t put garlic butter and Parmesan on the crust and maybe it all just fell off but regardless, the crust tastes incredible bland and nothing like garlic, butter, or Parmesan. Other than that everything is amazing and the service was great. Staff is friendly. Will definitely order again but maybe by phone to request extra garlic butter and parm.

P.S. you’d think that is parm on the crust from the photos but tastes more like...
