Serranos Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Conway

Service wasnt all that great this trip. Server was not wanting to be there and it showed in her work. Had to flag her down to get anything from her. Never got the napkins we had to order. But I did get guacamole...I specifically did not order with my fajitas! Was too much trouble to get her back to table that I just didnt use the lettuce, sour cream or pico stuff because it had ton of guac on it! Guess that is okay...pay to waste the food I did order as well as food I didnt. Makes perfect sense. The ice cream machine was getting changed once we got to dessert, too! What? 30 mins wait?...TCBY it is...it cost more tr gam just the meal there. Great lookin out for the customers while ya still got em coming...overall not worth trip or money. Taco Bell has better service and cheaper, too! What happened to a server actually serving the customer? Rare find it seems. When one only makes about $2.60 / hour, I believe I would put forth the effort to at least get enough in tips to make enough to get to work! HINT TO ALL SERVERS: TIPS ARE WHERE YOU MAKE YOUR MONEY!! Good service warrants a good tip in return. It's worth a shot trying it. Gonna be there making $2.60, might as well put in a bit of effort and never know...could be making A LOT MORE within that same amount of time, duh! Servers should NOT EXPECT TO BE TIPPED at all. That seems to be the new attitude, though.

SERVICE: I hear WalMart is hiring for back stockers.

OVERALL: 1 ☆ (Did get good spot parking!) Wont be returning anytime soon, even if I had coupons.

Like most humans, I will pay MORE for the good...

This is my second dine visit and I was highly disappointed with the service we received. Our waiter seated us, but I had to ask for chips, salsa, and utensils. I ordered drinks and spinach queso as an appetizer without the menu. The queso dip came out without plates or utensils. Our waiter was not personable at all. Finally after ordering, our food arrived, our plates were thrown on the table. I was assuming that possibly could have been hot, giving them the benefit of a doubt, however, one of the orders was wrong. I tried to call the waiter to let him know it was wrong, but he kept on walking. So I asked another waiter if he could serve us instead and he agreed.

I was really starting to get irritated not understanding why we were being treated in this manner.

I watched every other family come in, the same waiter sat them down. He was attentive, calmly taking their orders, immediately chips and salsa with silverware were placed on the table. I was puzzled as to why we didn't receive the same service. The original waiter came back to the table to switch out the order, but it seems as if he had slowed down asking twice if everything was ok, with a totally different attitude. While I received my check, I paid and he patted me on the back. I left a 15 dollar tip for the chef, not the service. I generally don't write bad reviews but the service was horrible. So much for a pleasant evening dinner. I will not be...

EDIT: I'm a little confused and a bit upset that we got charged $27.00 for 2 large cheese dips and one burrito. I ordered 2 large salsas but didn't get them. I ordered to-go and it isn't adding up. It seems like I payed for 2 larges salsas that I didn't get. My mom comes here every week, sometimes twice a week,, she's very loyal to this place. she loves this place. But getting charged for something that I didn't receive or getting overcharged isn't leaving a good taste in my mouth!

Serrano's is a wonderful restaurant. Their staff is fast, skilled, and friendly. The restaurant is always clean, well-lit, and has a decently spacious layout. I don't live in Conway, but I usually visit this place when I'm in town visiting my Mom. It's one of her favourite Mexican restaurants. From what I've experienced, their happy hour specials are a great value. Their margaritas are pretty good! They have a decent selection of alcohol, and a sizeable menu with reasonable prices. The chips, salsa, and cheese dip are very good. The burritos are huge and packed with flavor. If you're nearby, definitely stop in and try Serrano's. I've never had an experience there that was less...
