Bravo's Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in Cookeville

Updated 4-5-2025 I ate here again on 4-3-2025 and was appalled, this will be my last time to eat here. I ordered gravy and biscuits. The biscuits were day old and had been warmed up in a microwave. How do I know? I've tried warming up biscuits in a microwave before. They were wrinkled and dried out, the edges were so hard they were unbeatable. Warming up any type of bread in a microwave will cause it to become hard. Then there were ants crawling on the walls, window seal and table. I fail to understand the draw of this place, it is a health hazard.

I have never been to a Greek restaurant, and I was reluctant to try the few items on the menu that were Greek. Instead I ordered a burger and onion rings. The burger patty was standard flash frozen industrial restaurant patty. Not homemade or cooked to order from fresh beef. The onion rings were also from freezer bag to table. These are items I could have purchased at Walmart. For the cost and eating out I would expect better quality food even if I did not eat Greek. The standard industrial from freezer to table food was a major disappointment. My friend ordered sausage and it was also from flash freeze to table, nothing special.

From our orders I did not see anything that set this apart from McDonald's.

With that said perhaps their Greek food is much better.

As to service it was excellent, the staff is absolutely friendly and very attentive I give the staff 5 stars easy

If you love and appreciate 100% real Greek food, then there is but one place to go! Bravo's Cafe & Grill! The service and people are incredible! The prices are more than reasonable! Their menu is large and a selection better than most around! Now the best for last- the food is to die for!!!! Being from Illinois and my wife growing up just minutes from Chicago, we have both grown up with traditional Greek food. After being in Tennessee for 20 years, trying "Greek food" places from Memphis to Knoxville and all places in between, we finally gave up! There are a few restaurants in Cookeville who claimed to have Greek food, but at the end of the day those places did not have real Greek food! Real Greek food comes from the heart and made with love and pride, it doesn't come from boxes or bags or frozen! Until this very night we had lost hope of finding 100% real Greek food! That was until we stopped and ordered take out from Bravo's! We have found our home away from home and we will be loyal customers from now on! Its like being back in the Greek neighborhood in Chicago! The smell the taste and the generous portions made us finally and completely satisfied! Wheather is for breakfast, lunch or weekend dinner, you must call Bravo's the one truly authentic Greek dining experience in all of Tennessee! Don't waste your time going anywhere else in Cookeville or basically anywhere else in the southern States! Make Bravo's your home...

I had to do my review of this place before I even left the restaurant it was THAT good! The service was fantastic, our server was very nice and extremely knowledgeable of the menu! The menu is huge and they have a ton to choose from! I ordered the chicken plate. It came with a chicken pita sandwich, a Greek salad, and french fries. For what you got I think the $14.99 price was very reasonable. Their portions are HUGE so come hungry! Everything I got was absolutely DELICIOUS! The chicken was seasoned very nicely, full of flavor. The tzaziki sauce was a WIN! Finally, a restaurant that does it justice! The taste was spot on and consistency was perfect! The french fries were thin and crispy, my favorite, very scrumptious! The salad was fresh and the dressing was very tasty! From start to finish we had an amazing experience! It was such a breath of fresh air! I will DEFINITELY be back !
