Stroud's Barbeque — Restaurant in Cookeville

Stopped in for some BBQ. Was disappointed they didn't have ribs, but I got a pulled pork sandwich that was very tasty and tender. Could have used some more smoke, but for 4 bucks it's better than anything at a day for joint.

Speaking of fast, I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I was third in line and each person was getting their order right away. I figured they had called in but no, I ordered and stripped back and before I had time to find a place to stand it was ready.

As I said, the sandwich was very good. Just the right amount of slaw and pickles too. The cornbread was ok, probably better if just getting meat. But the banana pudding was most excellent, very creamy and tasty. Definitely something to return for.

I'll be back and bring the wife as she loves pulled pork. They also had chicken and ham, I'll try that next time

Our son and bride to be decided to have their wedding at a State park in TN. They wanted BBQ for the rehearsal supper. Because no one lived near the park they had chosen, we could only rely on reviews to choose a place to provide the food. We are so glad we went with Stroud's! Not only were they helpful with the planning but they followed through with every part of the service as planned. They arrived early, the presentation was beautiful, they were professional, polite and provided delicious food! There were many compliments on the food and no one complained about eating leftovers the next day! If you look at the pictures with the menu online and think, "I hope it tastes as good as it looks!" We can assure...

Stroud's food is so good. Bbq sauce has a great taste. The pork is so tender it melts in your mouth. Yesterday day I decided to try something different I got the pulled pork burrito and again I was not disappointed it was so amazing the people who worked there is so sweet and friendly. This little place might be small but they are huge on taste. You will not be disappointed if you try it the only bad part is not to easy to find they are in the parking lot where Food Lion is to the right of the building behind another building. But they are so worth going to their sign is up near the road but it is misleading so make sure you turn into the Food lion parking Lot...
