As a Colombian-American mother of two, I am always on the hunt for delicious and authentic Latin baked goods. Luckily, I stumbled upon Buddies Bakery in Hollywood, Florida, and I am thrilled to say that I have finally found my go-to Hollywood bakery!

The service at Buddies Bakery is exceptional, with staff who take great care to ensure that every customer is treated with professionalism and kindness. I particularly appreciate that this bakery is LGBTQ+ friendly and family-friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

But let's talk about the baked goods! The breakfast sandwiches are a personal favorite of mine, with fluffy eggs, savory bacon, and melty cheese all nestled between a perfectly toasted bread. It's the perfect start to any morning.

For those who prefer a plant-based diet, the vegan empanadas are a must-try. The flaky pastry crust is filled with a flavorful mixture of veggies and spices, making for a satisfying and guilt-free snack.

And of course, the pork empanadas are just as delicious. The tender pork is seasoned to perfection and encased in a golden-brown pastry shell that is crispy and buttery. It's the ultimate comfort food.

I have to add to this! Just popped back in on my solo trip to FLL and had to stop by again as we loved it so much when we were here before. Still a 5 star review for this gem! Was greeted warmly and ordered an iced caramel machiato and the beef empanada. Enjoyed them both while sitting outside at a cute Cafe table. Both were delicious and made me happy to have made the point of visiting again! This place should not be missed! They offer so many delicious treats. Thanks again from your Canadian friend!

Wow! Happened upon this place purely by luck as we were walking by. Julio greeted us so very warmly and guided us through our menu. My husband ordered the breakfast special of three absolutely delicious empanadas and a cappuccino. The empanadas were served piping hot and bursting with flavour. The Italian was spot on with the sun dried tomatoes, the Cuban was on the mark with the pork and cheese, and the omelette was creamy and light. The cappuccino rivalled a coffee shop offering. My smoked salmon bagel sandwich was packed with flavour from the cream cheese, salmon and super fresh arugula. The bagel seemed freshly baked and tender.

What a happy surprise to come upon this gem!

This bakery maybe small but their coffee is bold and the food is big on flavor.

Love the design of this place. It's modern and airy and has enough seating for its size. As you walk to the counter, you'll be enticed by a glass display featuring sandwiches, pastries, cookies, desserts, and the tastiest empanadas. And don't forget their homemade alfajores. They offer different flavors!

We started with their iced coffee drinks and we could tell they used quality beans. Then we ordered the Proscuitto and Swiss and BLT sandwiches. They were both very. We also tried the Salmon Bagel Sandwich which was also yummy. But we were very impressed with their empanadas. They served them piping and they're not stingy with the fillings. The beef was meaty. The spinach was cheesy and flavorful. And we love the Cubano one. It's basically an empanada version of a Cuban sandwich. So good.

As for sweets, we both got the original Alfajores. OMG. They were sinfully good. You could tell they were fresh and had not been sitting in the fridge. Also loved the Chocolate Cake. It was to die for.
