First of all, the Google Map location attached to this review is WRONG. This Dairy Queen is located at the intersection of FM 64 & SH 24 in Cooper, Texas.
In all respects it is a regular Dairy Queen, but a couple of things stand. As with most DQs, they have a few local specialties on the menu. This one's is a petty melt on Texas Toast. The hamburger was a little on the thin side, but other than that, it was a great sandwich!. Also the first time I tried one of DQ's new frozen hot chocolates - excellent; super chocolatey.
Now for the thing which really impressed the critic. We were there fairly late on a lazy spring afternoon. Twice, much older members of the local citizenry came in & it was really nice to see how well the staff took care of them. Excellent customer service for everyone, but in the case of those folks, the place epitomized small town Texas.
We've passed by here dozens of times to and from our way to Commerce & beyond from southern Oklahoma. I suspect it will become a regular...
Read moreAs a business owner myself i was blown away by how rude the young lady at the front counter was, the cook off in the back ground gave the most jaw dropping ugly look ever knowing she had to prepare a meal at 9:15pm. At 9pm, all the chairs were already flipped up on tables appearing to be closed and unwelcoming. As we finished our main meal we proceeded to the counter to get desert, at that time she same young lady threw the broom down as if she was inconvenienced that she had to stop what she was doing to help us purchase our desert. This is not our first experience like this and i was hoping it would be the last but that isnt the case. As one of the only places to eat in town you would think they would be friendlier, welcoming and glad to be getting all the business of the town. Absolutely will not be back and we eat here 2-3 times a week and sometimes multiple times a day. I hope this will get to the correct person(s) in charge and brought...
Read moreThe service is horrible here. When you place your order, you are asked to pull around and will sit as long as 20 minutes for them to bring your food. The people are nice, however when you place your order the color and make of your car is put on the receipt. So when the person brings it out all they have to do is look at the receipt. I have been there a few times while passing through Cooper, and everytime the person comes out the door they go to the wrong car and then have to look down to see. The food is good, but the service needs to be better. I also noticed that they where blue gloves and so when they are doing different things they are supposed to change them out. Well I noticed that one server had taken the trash out, then he went and got someone's food to take to their table. He needs...
