The man that runs the inside counter most any weekday during lunch that I have been...he has to be one of the rudest people I've ever encountered in any retail establishment, let alone a Chicken E.
He angrily rushes every question he asks. He practically beats that touchscreen register so hard, you'd think it owed him money. The credit card machines aren't mounted and kinda blend in with the resister, so God forbid you try to hand him your card, you'll get a "right in front of you" and a slight shaking of the head.
Aside from lacking customer service skills, he doesn't seem to have a capacity for logic, either. Someone came in on my resent visit who literally just bought 4 gallons of tea. The customer, who had expressed he'd never been in before, seemed confused when he was asked to give his name for the order when he didn't order anything he'd be waiting for. (And, of course, he too got a "right in front of you, sir" when he made the terrible mistake of trying to hand his card to him.)
I watched as he took another couple's order. After ringing several items up, he suggested they essentially wanted the meal instead of all the individual items. The woman agreed, and he begins to adjust the order, punching holes through the touchscreen the whole time. As he's doing this, he's shaking his head. LIKE HE'S PUT OFF TO HAVE TO BE RE-RINGING THE STUFF UP. Uh, dude, hate to tell you, but you're the one that offered to save them money with the meal. Don't act pissed like they've put you out somehow. They're why you have a job.
All-in-all, this location isn't great, but by and large it's biggest issue is this guy. (My receipt says Kerry P. I don't know if that's him or someone else who logged on to the register. They don't have nametags as far as I can tell.)
Oh, one other thing: 92¢ teas vs. higher priced sodas don't make any sense when all the sodas and teas are in the lobby and customers serve themselves. Just make all the large drinks...
Read moreIn my six+ years of living in the DFW area and visiting numerous Chicken Express locations, by far, this is the WORST CE location I've ever visited. The restaurant is poorly ran, managed & handled, and the drive-thru line wait is so ridiculously long that's it's beyond reason. Just tonight alone, on 1/5, I waited over 30 minutes in line for my order; had the two vehicles in front of me not bailed out of the line due to waiting so long themselves, without a doubt I would have been waiting for far longer than I did. Once I get to the window to pay for my food, I checked the meal and it was completely incorrect (another constant occurrence I experience about every other visit). So I waited another 5-7 mins for them to finally fix & give my order to me, without so much as an apology for the long wait and mistake. The sad fact is that this particular CE location has been shoddily ran for a VERY long period of time; I have experienced issue after issue with this store for the last year & a half, and as many times as I've voiced my complaints to the management, absolutely ZERO changes have been made to better the customer experience, and as a result I've considerably cut down my visits to this location, even though it's the only one in my area closest to my job. As someone who's worked in the area for over six years, I can confidently say that they never used to be as bad as they've been in the last year. Thought I'd give them another chance tonight, seeing as how it was a new year, and that I generally enjoy CE food, but it seems that nothing has changed. Such a shame. Unless you prefer to wait in line forever for your dinner, or constantly deal with mistake after mistake on your order, avoid this location...
Read moreSo let’s begin with food. The food was amazing and made fresh. The cashier who took our order was also amazing and the staff seemed very friendly, however, the manager on duty, Angela, seemed as though she either didn’t like having dine in, or brought her personal life issues in with her to work today. There was a leak from the ceiling right by the drink machine, and so being nice, I let them know to prevent anyone from slipping. When the manager came to inspect the issue, she insinuated it was from someone “spilling something” when this mess was here prior to us coming in. Mind you, we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant and she continues to say this multiple times right in front of us. Then, to top it off, a worker who was outside came in and the first thing she says is “WHAT!” 😳 being that I am in charge of HR for two facilities, this is very unprofessional and with this being a Christian establishment, you would expect more hospitality. I worked for this company in West Texas, and I will tell you, the district manager Polo, would’ve NEVER accepted such horrible hospitality. Needless to say, once I asked the cashier for the managers name... her attitude changed TREMENDOUSLY. 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Not to mention the lady who WAS in line in front of us, asked for all of her money to be refunded due to them not having her pies with her very...
