I was floored by the coffee, food and service at this location.
I dined in with my wife and a friend on a busy Saturday. I wanted my americano in their stylish gray cup and they delivered. I really loved the coffee. They offered the cream in its own separate small pitcher which was really a nice touch. My wife ordered the cream tart, something we hadn't seen before. It was absolutely delicious and the cream filling reminded me of a milky custard. An online search of how to make such a thing revealed cream tart is a traditional South African treat, which is where the owners of Gas Coffee are from. They brought their treats with them all the way to Coppell and my tummy was happy as a result. ALL their pastries in the case looked amazing, and they even offered low-carb egg bites as well.
The staff came to our table on more than one occasion to ask if we were satisfied, if we needed anything and to help clear our table. I didn't expect that level of service much less on a busy day. It made us feel they really care about their customers.
The only downside was that the interior of the restaurant was small and there were too many chairs in the space so that it felt crowded. It was quite loud with not much sound insulation. The ordering area has really neat decor but the seating area felt it needed something to make it more cozy and comfortable. I know Gas opened recently, and if they can pull this off, this could become one of my favorite coffee spots.
I really loved visiting Gas Coffee and can't wait...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying, you will not meet better people nor will you have better service anywhere else!
They went above and beyond to provide a non-dairy, unsweetened option for me personally, (I am a Type 2 diabetic). Kindness like that is exceptionally rare.
The pastries (plain butter croissant and cheese danish) I bought were reminiscent of actual pastries from France! They were generously large pastries (getting your moneys worth for sure) that weren’t cloyingly sweet! You can actually enjoy the subtle nuances that pastries have to offer without being bogged down by sugar!
The drink I got was a cortado (made with almond milk)! Beautifully done, made with love. The espresso is certainly QUALITY espresso! They even roast them!!
Honestly you will not be disappointed visiting this establishment. You will feel like family here - eating delicious pastries whilst drinking wholesome coffee. I am excited to go back and try other items! Definitely my new coffee spot from now on!
TL,DR: Pastries are amazing-reminiscent of actual ones from France. Drinks are delicious with many options and quality espresso. Customer service and the kindness of the owners and staff are beyond expectations! You will not be...
Read moreThe owners here are genuinely kind in a way that makes you feel like they truly care. They ask for your name like they actually want to know it, and then they really remember it. The first time I came here was about eight months ago, but I remember it clearly because I was in a difficult period of my life. I remember sitting in my car for fifteen minutes, giving myself this little pep talk just to make it inside. At the time, I was dealing with pretty severe agoraphobia, which I’d been diagnosed with. Things are better now, but back then, it took everything I had to get out of the car and walk in. And I’m so glad I did. The owners probably have no idea how much their warmth meant to me. After months of keeping to myself, of avoiding people, they treated me like I was family. It was a small thing, but it made me feel real again, like I was part of the world, part of something shared. I don’t really know how to explain it, but sometimes just feeling like your presence matters can be enough. It can be what makes a person want to keep going, to see what happens next. So thank you. This is more than just a coffee shop. It’s a hidden gem that feels like home,...
