Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Coralville

Great service, great food , great atmosphere!!! It's almost like an old 70's look in the restaurant cool as can be...Price for the 2 of us $17 bucks I got the triple cheese burger with bacon and the fries fresh and absolutely amazing make sure you add all the goodies the burgers come with cheese, mustard and pickles and onion so if you want other toppings make sure to request them. The burger patties are 2.66 oz the manager said so I got the triple the right amount of fries and the seasoning on the fries fire make sure if your in the coraleville area hit that Freddy's up right down the way from the University of Iowa It was out first time at Freddy's and we will be going back for sure... I believe on Tuesdays kids eat free with purchase of the adult meal and Wednesdays college kids get a free drink and fries with a purchase of a sandwich from 2pm-5pm make sure to call ahead on those days and the bathrooms were clean I added that because most places like that the restrooms can be a major turn off especially when your trying to have a good bite to eat... The only thing I was disappointed in that I don't have more pictures of Freddy's custard & steak burgers for my review but I will next week when we head back to Coraleville... Great Spot very impressed and a impressive little spot and will get you another review next week about the custard!!! Once again Great food, Great Service and Great...

I had never been to a Freddy's until I visited my niece in Arkansas,and I was very impressed,my wife and I both ordered a Patty Melt,it was the best Patty Melt we had ever had,so just to make sure we were correct,we went to a different Freddy's before we came back home to Iowa,they were the same,a month after we got back home,we took my mother inlaw out for lunch at Freddy's in Coralville,big disappointment,the booth tables were dirty and sticky,so we moved to a table with bar stools,the table was so wobbly that everytime we touched the table it would spill our drinks,we all ordered a Patty Melt,the hamburger patty was so thin you could almost see thru it,no onions on mine,very few on my wifes and mother inlaws,the bread was mashed down almost flat,and it came with minimal fries,might try another Freddy's in a different location,not sure...

The food is fine, the service is fine - you can do a lot worse going out for fast food than this Freddy’s.

In fact - only one thing keeps their score down for me, and that’s Pepsi Zero.

I love that they have it. I wish they hadn’t gotten rid of Diet Pepsi to add it to the fountain - no Pepsi-serving location actually needs two Pepsi soda heads so why not lose one of those? - and I REALLY wish they’d put in a new line so my Pepsi Zero didn’t taste like it was half Diet Pepsi. It’s not good.

Odd choice to make, either on their part or Pepsi’s part. I get that there’s an expense, but…that’s business.
