We went there for dinner tonight. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady with a big smile. She brought us multiple samples of house made beverages when she realized that we were unfamiliar the items. We ordered the chocos, cabbage salad, and a goat meat dish. Everything was delicious. The portions were just right. It would have been nice if they included some side dish with the goat dish. The place was clean with appropriare decor. The bathroom was well maintained. We were the only customers on Friday night which really made me feel sad. More people need to visit this place so that the business can become viable for the owners. The lady who runs the restaurant told me that she also makes Vietnamese food. She offered to cook some vietnamese food for us if we gave her heads up. I plan on trying that as well.
Overall, it is very nice to have an African restaurant in the community to add some variety to the...
Read moreWe were warmly greeted and our orders were taken immediately!
We had two orders of #12(beans and yam w/ side of bread) and a third order #13(yam w stew & lamb). We also had plantains. I loved the portion!!!! so good.
I wish the bread for the beans was soft like true African bread native to west Africa. What we had was baguette, which is bread that can be found at Panera bread and Subway. Beans pair well with soft bread. Not hard bread.
We Also got zobo (hibiscus juice), pineapple ginger juice and Jus De Baobab(Baobab juice) and it was delicious; all of it.
Overall, the food was good. I like that They have West African dishes from countries like (Nigerian, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Guinea, etc)!! I will certainly be back!
Regarding the space it was very clean. they had a nice mix of African music playing in the background . I highly recommend a visit...
Read moreMy husband, best friend and I decided to visit this lovely African restaurant. The food was very tasty and the portions were large. We started with a plantain appetizer, then we ordered the fried rice with chicken, the chobo (the lamb was absolutely delicious and hit all the right spots), and the okra soup with fufu. The hibiscus juice was very good, the restaurant was clean with a lovely ambience, and customer service was great. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because of the over one hour wait before we were served. Unfortunately, we arrived hungry and were pretty much starving by the time our food arrived an hour later (yes, I timed it). I don't know if it was because we visited on a Sunday and there was only one person in the kitchen, but I hope the wait isn't always this long as we hope to...
