Today, at the encouragement of EVERYONE I know, I tried Walt's Meatloaf.....I am in HEAVEN!!! This baby is FULL of complex flavor with a meatloaf SOOooooOOO very tender, I forgot I was eating meatloaf! And the onion jam? SO yummy, I am ashamed and proud to exclaim I scraped it off the butcher paper wrapper to saver EVERY drop! I can't explain the flavor profile, it was tender, sweet, salty, umami, and just plain AWESOME! My longstanding fav was the Chicken Cutlet....but I feel some competition here!!
Spicy Italian was very flavorful, with fresh meats and veg, Turkey Panini was yummy comfort, both made more pleasing by warm welcoming atmosphere 😋 DEFINATELY will return!
I have enjoyed the well crafted food from Cafe a Mano several times sine learning about them. Soups, meatballs, sandwiches....all delicious! Today (5.28.24) I LOVED my juicy and buttery tender chicken cutlet on a small roll. EXCEPTIONAL loaded sandwich with sweetly tangy sauce and delicatel full breast crispy fried to perfection. As a side I picked up some Clam Chowdah, which I HAVE to exclaim is the BEST I can recall. Sweet tender clam and potato morsels in EVERY bite. Mild buttery creamy flavor like mom would made, if she lived in Bah Hahbah. I'd be back every day if I could!!
8/2: I REALLY wanted the spicey Italian on a Nanna bun, but I am SO pleased I allowed myself to be tempted to try the Shrimp salad!! Each huge shrimp was plump, and perfectly succulent bathed in a slightly spicy mayo based dressing with crunchy celery bits. 🥰 I thought as I savored EACH morsel....THIS would be Great in a bun....like a...
Read moreI love this place. Food is spectacular. Had the chicken cutlet sandwich. Delicious-combo of buffalo moz, prosciutto and basil mayo with a perfectly cooked chicken cutlet on a hoagie roll. Loved it.
2nd time-breakfast sandwich with fried egg, prosciutto basil mayo on nana bun--melts in your mouth with hot fresh coffee. Perfect breakfast sandwich with the outstanding lemon potatoes.
Both times I went there I also took home the chicken Marsala and the lasagna. Hands down the best Marsala and lasagna I have ever eaten. Also had the Chicken Calabria soup --amazing!!
Brian & Lindsay catered a party for my wife & I last year for 50+ people. Chicken Marsala, pasta bolognaise, 2 types of salads, wedding soup, watermelon-basil-buffalo mozarella drizzled with balsamic appetizers-- which were to die for.
Very professional--everyone loved the food. They cleaned the entire kitchen afterwards!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a caterer. These 2 are the real deal. Super friendly!!!
I hope to get back to the Cafe again before the end of the year and try the Italian Panini and pick up some more chicken...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining with Cafe a Mano, and I was truly delighted with our experience. From the moment I walked in, the owner's warmth and hospitality made me feel so welcomed. The authenticity of the food was evident in every bite, with recipes passed down through generations and high quality ingredients sourced both locally and directly from Italy.
The highlight of my meal was the fried fish sandwich on their homemade nana bun. It was hands down the best fish sandwich I have ever had. The nana bun was so soft, and it reminded me of my own Italian grandma’s bread- it almost made me cry!
What sets this place apart is not only the delicious food but also the commitment to high quality and unique offerings. It's clear that a lot of love and care goes into each plate that is served.
Overall, Cafe a Mano is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered by more food enthusiasts. If you're looking for a taste of Italy right in your own neighborhood, look no further. I can't wait to return and try more of their...
