Snappy's Taphouse — Restaurant in Coraopolis

Went to this phenomenal restaurant with my husband, our kids and my brother in law and let me tell you I fell in love the moment I walked inside! The decor is fresh and crisp! The staff was super welcoming and very helpful! We sampled the house cider (best cider I’ve ever had) and also got the Bowser and Mollys Rose both were excellent and went down smoothly! The kids order some mock tails, they had the bees knees, ward 8, and south side; each of these were so unique and flavorful. We also ordered food. We had pulled pork mac n cheese. Let me tell you the amount of flavor in this dish. I don’t even like Mac n cheese or pork but this dish was like eating a piece of heaven, the pork was so amazing and the pickled jalapeño’s were just out of this world! We also ordered 6 toxic tacos, they lasted for about two seconds before they were gone! The best tacos hands down! Next dish we got was the the shrimp cocktail which I believe was served on a bed of arugula and house made cocktail sauce, this shrimp was so incredibly delicious with all the herbs and spices the kitchen used that the plate left no evidence of the food that was there beforehand. We also had some chips and salsa and ended getting more chips so we could get every last drop of that salsa! And of course the kids wanted the pop tart to try. This tart was definitely not the same pop tart from the store.. it was so fresh, light, and flavorful it just melted in your mouth. Everything we experienced at this establishment was so magically I still don’t know if I’m dreaming or not! And to Chef Dave, you are killing it the kitchen! Literally one of the best chefs I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! If the place wasn’t as full of patrons we probably would’ve licked our plates! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon with my family! Atmosphere was cool."Chef Dave" has a lot to learn about customer service. I will not go back and they did not make us feel welcome at all. The behavior of my daughter was noted what does that mean she has social anxiety!!!!!!! you just accuse her of being on drugs!!!!!!!! You really embarrassed her. Her and I were sitting there having a mother-daughter talk . . We came there because we wouldn't have a nice meal cuz her boyfriend works there and you just embarrassed us . How dare you!!!!!! As for food I came there for fish and chef Dave was not accommodating. He said I have salmon I said well can I get a salmon for $15 the same price as a fish sandwich no no no can't do it. First time stopping into Snappy's, but we came in for the variety of ciders advertised online.

The decor is great, simple green and wood tones to reflect the turtle nature of the name and logo. There was some overlying smell today that I couldn't place, almost like the mop water needed changed, but it is a bar and very well could have been a mat that needed swapped out so I give that a pass.

Ciders were great, you can try a flight of 4 to help try several at once. My favorite was the harvest spice, a fall cinnamon/pumpkin tone flavor. My husband liked Canadian Logger, which was my second choice pick with maple and vanilla undertones.

Food was decent, we ordered off the brunch menu. Avocado toast and a breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed my toast but the sandwich was underseasoned and needed something to cut through the grease, maybe tomato? Watch out for them, though!
