Been ordering from Marcos for a little while. One of the few places with a decent sized gluten free crust (cauliflower). When I called, the girl on the phone had trouble hearing me, like all employees seem to have (noise in the background, terrible spot for a phone, just move your god$&#@ phone?????) The worker in question got my address wrong three separate times. When doing my order, had to repeat five separate times. Order took 15 minutes longer than stated latest 1 hour delivery time. I ask for a receipt to check over everything. One topping, bell peppers, not even on the pizza. Another topping, ground beef, was added to the charge, and wasn't even on there. Call back Marcos and the worker is clueless as could be. Being told it's a new system, barely know how to work it, yet what they had written on their end was right and I was wrong????? So no repeat of the order back to me, hard to hear anything on the phone (a known issue for years now with Marcos...), and I'm up charged for a topping I didn't even get. So Marcos literally stole money from as well. I don't know if Jeb still works here, but if you do or don't, you were the only decent worker at Marcos. Sad to see the state it's in, with workers this down right terrible... But I'm done with this place. It's screw ups, it's theft, and apparently a new system that NONE of the workers understand. Lol, what a...
Read moreMarcos is the best of places to eat and socialize. The them inside theme has a core motif of sports but family is represented all over by photos of the Marcos staff going back many years as well as photos of all kinds of folks having fun. There is an impressive arcade selection as well as huge flat screens in both the the front and rear dining area where you will find a stage that if your are lucky enough to be there on the right evening, you will find local and some not so local bands playing live rock music. Punk rock. Classic rock. Hard rock. Hardcore, etc. The food at marcos is on the level if not superior to competing chain pizza joints. The meatball sub is my favorite and also a speciality as the meatballs are handmade by Steve Barbo and his wife Tracy with a family recipe past down from generation to generation and kept alive waiting to be in your belly. The meatball sub at marcos pizza was the first thing i would stop and do when visiting family when living in Southern California. Its an institution and you need to drive ther as soon as possible and try one. If Steve or Tracy are there (which they are often) tell them Judson sent you and feel the love....
Read moreMy little sisters had dinner here - from out of town so thought it would be nice to try. Mind you they don’t know the sizing of the pizzas. Ordering one small and one medium but the medium are pretty small still so a server brought an extra large to the table and they couldn’t tell the difference because they don’t know the sizing. They assumed it was this order since it was brought to them and they had a # for table. They started to eat and after a while a server came up to them and asked them if they ordered an extra large pizza and they said no we ordered a small and medium she said in a very rude tone “you would know the difference between xlarge and medium” How would they? They do not work there. She was VERY rude given it was THEIR mistake. When I called the manager was aware of the situation and said she decided to not take the pizza back. Why would that even be a thought? Your first thought should be to train your employees better and teach them customer service....
