Asian garden — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

"Not really sure where to start, However.." *(Let me me say first of -all); I've picked up several orders from Asian Garden, before. NEVER, had any issues at -all, until -last night.. So, I call in an order at 8:30PM, usual order I get my wife and I. I'm tired just got off a 12 hour shift, drive from Robstown to the Restaurant to pick up my order, no problem. I get home, my wife and sit down to dinner, we open the lids, wife's order is just stir fried rice and chicken, I ordered her Mushroom Chicken, not a single vegetable in it. I open mine, hardly any meat in it at all.. I ordered Spicy Lo Mein noodles with chicken, shrimp and beef, extra mushrooms.. Then! They forgot to put my wife's Hot and Sour soup in the bag that -they charged me for.. "OMG, tired, hangry, I call the restaurant at 8:52PM, to no avail." I go to the restaurant this morning thinking they're open on the weekend "on a -mission" to speak with a manager, but they're closed till Monday, morning!" Now, I'm not one to complain and I understand it was packed last night, I also seen several orders on the counter ready to be picked up. This was, and will be an -on going thing till they make it right. Needless to say my worst experience with Asian Garden, yet.

*Okay! Update: Came back tonight spoke with the Manager, "super -cool dude." Made everything right by just giving me anew complete order..

I had been working all day and I was starving to death and I stopped in there to get to go food. It took a little bit to come out. I ordered the Mongolian beef dinner with fried rice, an order of crab rangoon, and a large egg drop soup. The bag was tied with two boxes in it & a container for soup. I get home, sit down to eat and there is no fried rice in my dinner box. I cannot eat oriental food without fried rice. So I call the store and somebody is going to bring me my rice. It took 25 minutes waiting for someone to bring me my rice so I could eat. I realize everyone makes mistakes, it should have never left the kitchen & been put in a bag without being checked. I probably would have given them another chance but they didn't even offer anything for my inconvenience. When I worked in the food industry, we always gave a piece of pie if a mistake was made to smooth things over and keep a customer. It always kept them happy. I enjoyed the food the first time I ordered from here. I got the chicken and broccoli. But today I ordered the egg drop soup and chicken and broccoli. The soup was bland and needed spices. The first time I ordered chicken and broccoli I got 4 cups worth. Today I only got 2 cups worth. A little dissappointed. Don't know if I'll be back.

** It's been a year since my last review and I have dined in and had take out since. The food has improved alot. The service is not so good. I usually dine in during lunch time and when I come they only have one person waiting on tables. So it does take a little while to get your drink order. They usually have 2 or 3 other people working but they just stand there at the front desk. I think they take care of the take out orders but most times they're just standing there talking or on their phones. They don't even bother to help the waiter/waitress with drinks. If you do ask someone at the desk for something it seems like you're bothering them. Good food but not so...
