Taqueria La Cabaña — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

I never leave reviews or complain but after spending $40 on an order of mini tacos and 4 asada tacos, I am. Ordered through drive thru, I asked for avocado on the mini tacos, was charged but didn’t receive any. The charro beans were like refried bean soup, mushy. Odd texture, never had them like this. The asada meat in the mini tacos had poor quality meat, stringy, nothing but nerves, fat, and whatever else that cartilage looking stuff is. I know that’s normal, this was excessive. Then my four asada tacos were ordered without lettuce and tomato… they came loaded like I asked for a salad. Once we removed it, because I wasn’t even trying to go back, there was hardly any meat in the tacos. That was frustrating as a customer, you purposely loaded it with lettuce and tomato to lessen the meat amount. In the past I have always received well served asada tacos without lettuce and tomato, but they’re usually drenched in oil to the point it is pouring out of the foil greasing my leather seats. I have been a returning customer because I wanted to support small business, but...

Normally we order from here all the time. Today we wanted a burger and they gave us fries made in bad old oil. On top of that this is all they gave us normally they give us more. Oil is leaked a little underneath. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and try 1. And it was mooshy and undercooked. They also forgot our avocado on this burger. It was supposed to be on the side. This is unacceptable.

I tried to call and let them know their oil is bad and the guy was like no our oil isn't bad and told me they make their fries by hand and I told him well it's mushy inside and it's bad. He didn't apologize he just stayed quiet on the phone. You can look at my all other reviews. I hardly ever complain about food. But that was just bad fries, bad bacon and bad...

I normally get really good service from this restaurant. I am there almost every day. But for the past few times I've gone ive had a terrible experience. They changed the workers. And thww ones are either rude and disrespectful or ignore you. I got tacos the other morning and they were 90% grease and the tortillas were hard. Then the past 2 nights I've gotten a fajita plate and the first night there was barely any meat and all lettuce. Now tonight I got the same plate and it looked like it had been spoken up and they didn't give me the tortillas. The male owner is super sweet and respectful and a great business man but some of the other people there are really crappy. Dont try to call and complain either if you ever have a problem because...
