I just moved to Corpus Christi from alabama. In alabama when we wanted donuts wed go to krispy kreme and wait for the hot sign! Loved it. I was saddened when i moved to Corpus and realized there was no crispy creme. The first placed i tried was dunkin, then tried shipleys. All of the donuts at these places were bland and very dry! Im used to fluffy massive donuts that are moist and flavorful. I spent quite some time on yelp looking a reviews for highly rated places and found this donut shop. Listen, my expectations at this point were LOW. id been to so many highly rated places only to end up confused as to how they got their ratings so high. Gates donut shop did not disappoint me. They had so many varieties of donuts to chose from. I loved the braided glazed one and the maple donut with a slice of bacon on it!!! Omg so so so good!
