There was no line when we showed up. Guy named Jesus was at the cash register. I work in customer service as well, in fact, in healthcare as a nurse. I deal with people all the time, I know we all live different lives. I try to be respectful and understanding of people and where they’re coming from. Jesus, however, checked all the marks of what not to do, and his disrespectful behavior seemed intentional. He asked me what I wanted. I was ordering for my boyfriend and myself as he has an accent and people have a hard time understanding him. Jesus had come up to the counter, made eye contact. As I was about to talk, he began to answer another customer’s question. No biggie. Then he comes back and asks what can I get you. He was inpatient and just stared at me. As I told him our order, he wasn’t typing anything into the register, just kept staring. I said two chicken sandwiches with fries. Almost cutting me off, he asked what to drink, I said water. My boyfriend wanted to know if there was any Diet Coke. Before I could even finish, he cuts me off and says Pepsi. He hands us our drinks then types in the order. The best part is when he asks about sides. I already mentioned what I wanted for sides with the meal. Jesus was so inpatient, I didn’t want to inconvenience him further so I said the whole order. But I guess in his inpatients, he wasn’t listening. He goes “sides, both?” I can’t hear him well with the mask, and I just answered what I thought he said. Not only could I not hear him, the way he phrased it didn’t come out right to me. He just stares at me, and it was obvious he was annoyed and I didn’t answer his question properly. I think we stare at each other for a good 10 seconds before he repeats himself. I didn’t feel like asking what he said for him to interrupt me again, so I was willing to wait to make him repeat himself. Jesus, you don’t live up to your name. Need some lessons in treating people with respect. From reading other reviews about this establishment, sounds like this kind of behavior...
Read moreAs far as the food goes, I am happy to report that I was really impressed that the chicken breast and red beans and rice was as good as I remembered. The chicken was moist and it didn't leave a bad aftertaste like some places do because they don't change the oil the meat is fried in very often. I didn't care too much for the dry biscuit or the mashed potatoes that accompanied my meal. Maybe it's just my opinion, but the mashed potatoes tasted awful. I secretly wish they had the honey biscuits that Church's has or maybe even packets of honey to be given in addition to your order. I shared the drumstick with a friend so no opinion on the finished product as far as that goes. It was particularly helpful that I could choose spicy or regular especially when it comes with meal sharing. It would've been nice to be able to either build your own combo or offer a combo that came with 2 chicken breasts instead of the option of only ordering one with the 2 piece combo. I was under the understanding that my combo came with 2 sides and upon further investigation of my receipt, I realize they charged me for the mashed potatoes and that the 2 piece combo didn't come with 2 regular sides. The other issue I had with this establishment is that I placed an order for cookies. 3 piece. Upon leaving it was discovered that not only was it not included with my purchase but it was also not reflected on the receipt. So that was a real downer to not have something to cure my sweet tooth especially after having gone through the motions of ordering and waiting for my meal at such a late hour. (It was 9 PM). Suffice it to say, I know better now than to leave the pickup window before checking my order and the receipt. I didn't want to impose on my ride so I didn't make an effort to double back and inform them they had made a mistake on my order. One of the issues I also had was that the intercom wasn't working very well and they asked us to pull up and give them our order...
Read moreI placed my order at the drive thru window, paid for it and was then asked to move forward to wait for my food. I notice several vehicles getting their food, to include others who've placed orders after me! An employee came up to my window 2 times to give me the incorrect order. I still remained patient, it wasn't until the 3rd time when a young worker came up to me to ask what it was I ordered. Still I remained calm, repeated my order and she walked away. I waited a few more minutes, still another 3 cars receiving their order. I couldn't take it no longer. I then told another employee who happened to be outside providing someone with their order to please give me my money back. He came back, tried to give me the refund on an incorrect order!!!!!!!!!! Which happened to be $15 less than what I paid. Really?!?!?!?! I show him my receipt. Without showing any remorse or empathy, he pulls out money from his pocket and gives me my money back with 0.22 over and tells me to keep the change. Wow, what kind of people does this place have working for them. Never ever will I oder from this place again. To top it off, the man who gave me gave me my refund was a manager!!! I'm definitely giving this...
