A gem hidden away in peaceful surroundings removed from the city mayhem. Welcoming and friendly staff. Clean chic decor & premises. Ingredients, crafts, & groceries from around the world.
Pastries and other baked goodies here are of excellent taste, texture, and overall quality. Wonderful buttery taste, delicately crunchy exterior, and tender toothsome interior on Pain Au Chocolat pastry. Green chile scone was likewise buttery goodness laced with the chile's signature taste & an occasional burst of spicy bite. Brownie was a lighter, more cake like version than the more typical, fudgy to the point of being doughy examples usually found in supermarket bakeries.
Prices for baked goods are in line with competition or even a shade lower. Which makes them a great value, given the high quality you'll find at Fancies.
Prices for household decor and international grocery items run a bit on the high side, as is typical & expected in such boutique bakeries or other shops. It's the premium you pay for access to these kinds of niche items. I for one am glad to have this selection of sometimes esoteric ingredients within a semi-short drive.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Hamlet of Corrales definitely has an already busy, new go to. Beautiful and delicious baked goods and pastries. Ready to take away paniniās and excellent choice of coffees. The market itself has an awesome selection of food items, delicacies and ingredients aplenty to elevate your next meal. Also a wide selection of kitchen ware, utensils etc. The wonderful and talented staff provide the perfect vibe. I spent several hours there this morning watching an ongoing flow of new customers in line for coffee and baked scones, croissants and numerous other treats. I noticed quite a few customers making purchases from the retail area. My life long dear friend Erin and her incredibly experienced partners in the local food industry gave me the full tour, and a preview of the soon to open new restaurant. Chef was already busy cheffing and planning what Iām sure will be a beautiful menu. Letās support our independent restaurant community, and buy your next bottle of beautiful olive oil or some other delicious food import, while enjoying your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFell in love with this little deli bakery over the summer eating here 1-2 times per week into the fall months. Took a short break and when I came back in January, they had stopped offering half their menu! No cold salads to go, very few vegetarian options at all. Spoke with the owner/chef and she was super aggressive, rude, dismissive, and a bit nasty with us. She told me that the green salad could be made without meat. I informed her that even though meat eaters thought every vegetarian wanted a green salad, that wasn't the case. She told me to look up the salads they used to serve on Google and make them at home myself. Well I certainly will and I will certainly NEVER return to this restaurant who thought it was okay to be super rude to a regular customer and dismiss their concerns about the menu changes. Definitely WOULD NOT...
