First time at the LA Cabańa on 24th in Corsicana Never had it and pass by it all the time Go in, order drinks and look at the menu, I ordered a Bean and Cheese burrito, covered in queso. Rice and beans on the side. 5 or so minutes go by, out comes waitress lady, puts plate in front of me and it is 3 chicken tacos with rice and beans on the side. I flag her down and told her it was supposed to be a burrito, she knows cause she took the order... She takes the plate back to the kitchen and then takes same plate o tacos to another customer and places it in front of them Not new tacos but the same ones she just set in the order up window She then comes back with a burrito covered in queso, no beans, no rice I was like ok, whatever... Cut open the burrito and is nothing but rice... no beans or cheese just a rice burrito... allllllllright Flag her down again and explained it was missing beans and cheese inside the burrito and I had also ordered the rice and beans on the side She takes it back and 5 mins later comes back Burrito covered in queso and shredded cheese rice on the side... no beans This point I have already taken my shot of insulin and can't keep waiting on them to understand how to do it correctly So eat the burrito and rice And as we go to pay they didn't even try to discount any of it, like coulda just taken the drinks off or something Or even apologize for the number of times it wasn't right
In shirt, won't be going back, not...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant while approaching Corsicana from out of town, based upon its high google rating. Our first impression was that this is a run-down building with a closed sign on the door but an open light in the window, and 1 car out front. But sometimes we have found nuggets in hole-in-the-wall places, so we gave it a shot.
The staff was friendly, there was no margarita options (only beer), and the salsa served with chips was like spiced, watered down tomato sauce. The bowl of queso looked like it once started out as yellow velveeta cheese but was watered down so much it didn’t even taste like cheese anymore. We asked the waitress if this was queso, she said “yes, this is what we have.” If they were so willing to cheapen the queso what other corners were they cutting on the food? We paid up at this point and left disgusted and grossly disappointed. We wonder in hindsight who in the world gave them such...
Read moreWas passing thru corsicana so google mexican restaurants and came across this lil quaint cozy place. We had a to go to order... beef enchiladas, street tacos and guacamole.... the beef enchiladas were actually very very good. they had a unique flavor about them. I usually don't like enchiladas but I would order these. the street tacos were pretty good, maybe could've been a little less tough and a little more flavor. had a side of lemons instead of limes, but luckily had some lime at home. Now, the large guacamole was not worth what I spent...about $7/8.00 I got without pico which was 2$ extra and it was about an small avacados worth maybe and that's being generous, and that's all it was a smashed up avacado. no salt no nada. I spruced it up when I got home. Just a little pricey for what I got. The best thing I found was the salsa. It was pretty amazing! Would try this...
