Pioneer Village — Attraction in Corsicana

4.8! OMFG! this place is friggin' more adorable! This outdoor/walkabout museum is made of several reconstructed and/or authentic buildings from Corsicana & Navarro County history. It's supposed to "rustic", but it's just so well-kept and vibrant, it's awesome! This place looks fun 🙌 unfortunately, they STILL dont accept credit cards. And since we ran out of cash on our roadtrip, we weren't able to take a tour of Pioneer Village.

But this place looks so cool, I'm definitely going to plan a return trip here for the next time I'm doing a roadtrip.

If you're passing through Corsicana, I'd recommend making a pit stop here ⛽for the experience ❤ and For the price of entry and the value of this historical slice of cake, I hope they figure out their credit card payment setup, because this place deserves A LOT more...

We were planning to stop in Corsicana to see the historic courthouse. We picked up a brochure on the town and learned the Lefty Frizzell museum was part of the Pioneer Village. That museum alone was worth the admission price. Deb, the curator, was very knowledgeable. Treasures included a square piano, a Wolf Chili truck, a Studebaker wagon, a clock tower, gas pumps and 8 log buildings. We loved this place. Walking distance to Lefty statue and the courthouse. ...

A few tips for a visit: best to visit in the morning in summer Take water with you there are no guided tours, you have to walk through it yourself You should allow 1.5 hours

I personally liked it very much. Especially as they really tried to give each hut its own character. So that as few tools and the like are repeated as possible. But they still look like they were left...
