Sam's Station — Restaurant in Corvallis

I wish that I could give this place 2.5 start because it was exactly that. The food was great, I want to preface with that. The coffee was good, too. However, the service was not good, to say the least. When we walked in they sat us with some menus and proceeded to not talk to us, look at us, or take our order for about 20-25 minutes. When they finally took our order, it was only because I had to get up and remind them to. Similarly, I ordered coffee and they forgot to bring it to me until I had to get up and remind them of that, too. We waited probably another 20-30 minuted for our food, watched people who had gotten there after us get served before us, and then we again had to remind them to bring us our bill after sitting and waiting for it for about another 20-25 minutes. My best friend took me for my birthday. We had brunch and I noticed shirred eggs on the menu. I asked my friend, "What's that?" OMG 😱 my eggs were silky smooth swimming in a bath of butter and cream that just melted on my tongue and the spinach added the perfect earthy undertone for balance. I also ordered a German Sausage that was the perfect blend of spices. My bread was so flavorful and chewy. Everything is homemade with quality fresh ingredients and love. The food is good, and the wait times are very long. But the main reason for one star is the very rude waiter that works here. We have been to this place many times and in a few instance this waiter was very rude and unfriendly. The last time, the dish that we always order was slightly undercooked and we politely asked if it was possible to stick it in the oven for a few more minutes.
