Johanna's Bistro — Restaurant in Coshocton

I want to first off start off by saying I have been to Johanna's for lunch since they opened probably 6 times ! ALWAYS get amazing service from either of the waitresses that have waited on us ( Ashley & Heather ) However last night ( Friday 9/12 ) was just awful!!! The young man that waited on us ( I'm using this term loosely ) was interested more in texting / watching videos on his phone ...( he walked past our table that was piled with dishes watching a video) ... eating food out in the dining room , dancing around like a child or sitting at the bar playing on his phone !! We were given refills by Heather , the other waitress ( sorry didn't catch her name ) & a guy I think maybe a friend of the owner ( his name escapes me ) . The food was amazing as always but that was the only good thing . It took over an hour for the 2 of us to get our food but I heard Heather tell one of her tables they were short in the kitchen so things were a little slower than usual ... but nothing was said to us by our server. Our waiter didn't seem interested in conversing with us AT ALL!! I fact he was almost rude!! I witnessed him wiping the same table over & over again to appear busy while everyone else was running around doing what needed to be done. I know this young man is not new. I've witnessed him several times goofing off during the day when I've been in for lunch so I just assumed he was the owners son or something of the sort hanging out. But unfortunately for us he was a server last night. I'm all about young people learning & training but in my personal opinion this young man needs to NOT be serving people because his heart is definitely not in it & it was obvious he was more interested in his phone , the people at the bar & eating while he was waiting on us !! Will we be back ... ABSOLUTLY !! Will we request another sever if this same young man is our server again ABSOLUTLY !! As someone that's worked in the industry for MANY years it's not easy to " make " someone a server !! Please find something else for this young man to do at your restaurant !! Don't worry I still tipped him ... I'm giving you 5 stars as to not bring your ratings down ! Your resturant is amazing but I feel like I needed to share my...

Came here last night with a close friend. Heard about this place through a coworker and decided to give it a go in a whim, very pleasantly surprised! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere is very well put together, and the food was really good and full of flavor! Wait time was a little longer compared to familiar locations but our server reassured everything was prepped fresh in the back and the wait was 100% worth the quality of the food! Coshocton needs places like this now more than ever and I definitely plan to be back and spread the word around! My only "complaint" is that not enough people know of this hidden gem, we were the only ones there for a good while before maybe 2-3 other couples made their way in. Delicious! The unassuming exterior of the restaurant hides a classy modern interior. The food is mouthwatering and amazing! We had an appetizer Puerto Rican Tostones with fried plantain, Oaxaca cheese, chimichurri sauce 100% recommend. I had the Lomo Negro which is slow cooked beef in a tasty sauce. My mom had the Beef Saltado which has thinly sliced steak and vegetables. My grandpa had the full rack of ribs. It was amazing! I am excited to try all of the different dishes...
