Cafe Salsa — Restaurant in Cotati

I've been going to Cafe Salsa for about six months. Apparently they've undergone recent ownership change, though I've not noticed or perhaps it happened before I began eating there.

As Cafe Salsa is now, I think it's absolutely great. I have never been disappointed with their food, or their prices. Their chips and salsa are the best I've ever had, and the fajitas quesadilla is to die for. Some of their burritos disagree with my taste, other have taken me to a parallel reality where the sun is always shining, and back.

Google doesn't let me take a fifth of a star out, otherwise i would because they forget to include jalapenos INSIDE my burritos/quesadillas about 1 time out of 3 but I'm rounding up anyways because Cafe Salsa is love. Cafe...

Tasty traditional Mexican fare with a few local beers on tap. Well-spaced inside dining plus abundant outside patio dining during these waning days of the pandemic. The food was decent, I had the Enchilada Suiza (con pollo), which was flavorful and well executed. The chicken was tender, moist, and not overly salty. I enjoyed the green sauce- which can sometimes be too tangy; but their salsa verde was well balanced. Not drowning in cheese - just right. A fine entry for this classic dish. The wait staff was very attentive, but the place was a little loud inside with constant phone chatter on to-go orders and an open, front of house kitchen with the usual banter. This place makes taco bell look like a 5 star restaurant. There isn’t a CHANCE IN HELL that all the good reviews aren’t fake! I went to this place years ago and the food was so bad I didn’t return but was convinced to give it another shot…. Both my partner and I were disgusted with the quality!!!!! We literally made it half way through and threw the rest away. 100% NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!!! It’s not even worth half the price!!!
